good helmet for the price
I use the helmet for casual rides around town. It
has pretty good ventilation and feels great as a second helmet.
I think its great to have built in sun shades witch is one of the main reasons I chose. Changing lenses daily in winter months become a bit of a chore.

A thing to note that I didn't like much was the feel on the sizing.
it feels like it runs a half size bigger than what is noted, so it should be tried on before buying to see if it fits. I use small helmets 55-56cm, but this one fills a bit loose and has some side to side play compared to my other helmets (Arai/Bell).

PROS: Lightweight, Comfortable Padding, Adequate Ventilation, Good Visibility

CONS: Prone To Fogging, Noisy

BEST USES: Everyday Rides, Protection, Passenger

Nice helmet
I decided to take a chance and order this helmet online when it went on sale. I'll have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. It's comfortable, lightweight and the pop-down sun shade will be a nice feature. I haven't had a chance to actually ride with the helmet on yet as it's winter right now, but I'll be giving it a thorough test this spring. One problem with this helmet is the strap. It's a double D-ring setup and is very difficult to use. Whether the D-rings aren't big enough or the strap is made of the wrong material, I'm not sure at this point. Maybe it'll loosen up with use, but right now if you try to cinch the strap tight, it doesn't want to move. Also, the strap retaining snap is placed in a very difficult spot to reach. I've had D-ring style straps on most of the helmets I've owned and never had this kind of trouble before. Time will tell if this issue gets resolved. I wear a large in most helmets and can wear a medium in some. I have a long-oval shaped head and usually wear a size 7 1/4 hat, (head measures almost exactly 23" with a tape). I'm glad I ordered the large because the fit is quite snug, especially compared to my Shoei and Nolan helmets. On the other hand the outer shell is quite large. This is physically the largest helmet I've owned. It's as though whatever company manufactured this helmet for Cycle Gear used a common shell for all sizes. I don't want to say it looks enormous when it's on, but it kinda does. All in all, though, I'd say it's a heck of a deal for the price I paid.

Viper Full-Face Motorcycle Helmet
Love the new helemt. Bought it for the internal flip down visor. It gets some looks. The wife and I bought them just prior to our run from Vegas to San Francisco(600 Miles), at the begining of June. So we got the full gambit of temperature. From the blazing desert and Death Valley to the cool air of the Bay area. The only reason I didn't give five stars is where the line of the sunglass lense is in relation to your vision. Should have come down a bit more. Took me some time to get accustomed to it, but still distracting. I liked that the tinted visor was far enough away from the face that I was able to wear Oakley sunglasses underneath. Again, love the helmet!

Viper Full-Face Helmet
Love the helmet. The wife and I bought matching helmets, prior to making the run from Vegas to San Francisco at the begining of June, nearly 600 miles. Experiance everything from the blazing heat in Death Valley, to the cold air of the bay area. No problems! Only two things that kept me from giving five stars was the difficult D-rings of the chin strap, and the internal visor. Don't get me wrong, I love the visor. Gets some starnge looks when I flip it up. The problem I have is the bottom of the visor is in your direct line of sight. I fiddled with the helmet to get a better view. Rolled the helmet more towards my neck. Little better. All in all, took some getting used to. There is also plenty of room in side the tinted visor to wear Oakley sunglasses. Again, love the helmet!

PROS: Fits Snug, Good Visibility, Lightweight, Comfortable Padding, Adequate Ventilation, Fog Resistant

CONS: Chin Strap D-rings

BEST USES: Passenger, Poor Weather, Protection, Everyday Rides
