Approximately 10 years after the original RF-SR made its debut, the RF-SR2 has arrived to elevate the riding experience. This compact helmet maintains the classic shape that riders appreciate while incorporating significant aerodynamic enhancements. With greatly improved ventilation and the reliable AIM+ shell construction for safety, the RF-SR2 is positioned to be the preferred choice for motorcyclists.

Design Concept:

Based on the RF-SR's shell design, the new RF-SR2’s distinct upper intake lines flow directly into the shell, giving it a sleek, compact profile. Out back, the top exhaust doubles as an aero spoiler, blending with the front and side character lines to deliver a sharp, aggressive look without the extra bulk.

Aerodynamic Performance:

Using 3D wind-tunnel data at 87 mph (140 km/h), the updated RF-SR2 cuts drag by roughly 1% and lift by 3% compared the current RF-SR model(These are all reference figures based on Shoei's own analysis.)

AIM+ Shell Construction:

AIM+ (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus Multi-Fiber) it is Shoei's own shell structure, light weight but in superior rigidity and elasticity, based on complex layers of strong glass fiber and organic fiber.

Shield System:

The shield system, like previous models, comes standard with a QR-E shield base with a shield fine-tuning function and a CWR-1 shield. A Pinlock EVO lens is also included, ensuring clear visibility even when riding in foggy conditions.

Interior:

The interior parts remain much the same as the previous model, the interior surface fabric is entirely made of brushed fabric, providing a soft feel and reducing friction against the skin when putting on or taking off the helmet. Both the center pad and cheek pads are available as options with thicker pads than the standard ones, allowing for a wide range of fitting adjustments (available separately).

Ventilation System:

Like the previous RF-SR generation, it features three intake vents and two rear exhausts but with serious airflow upgrades. The lower intake is enlarged to boost airflow by roughly 43%, while a reshaped upper intake pushes 21% more air. Both shutter controls are bigger and easier to grab with gloved hands, plus the lower vent gets a new half-open setting for fine air tuning. Around back, the redesigned spoiler exhaust reroutes the outlet ports to improve aerodynamic performance, while boosting air extraction by an impressive 82%.
