Yoshimura RS-12 Exhaust System Yamaha YZ450F

Let's start with some hard facts: The RS-12 increases max HP by 8% and max torque by 13% on the 2023 YZ450F platform.

The new RS-12 system unlocked some key power in the right places. The lower and mid RPM range is really enhanced while not disrupting the handling characteristics on the new YZ chassis. Riding with this new added power really made testing the new system a fun project.

Other highlights of the RS-12 system are the machined joints on the key tube junctions to insure a good clean interface between joints. A built in resonator chamber on the muffler, a matte carbon fiber end cap and a PTF low volume sound insert completes the RS-12.

New patent pending Precision Taper Fit (PTF) insert ring makes it easy to install and remove sound inserts and spark arrestors
Tapered muffler body inlet design of the RS-12 enables the system to be pushed forward thus helping with weight centralization without sacrificing performance
