I'm impressed!
I installed these on my KLR 650. Installation was easy and fit was good, due to the flexible installation system. I was concern this might be a weak point, but found out diffent when I went down at speed. The left guard took some serious grinding but the aluminum bar did not give. I will buy them again for the replacement.

PROS: Sturdy, reasonable price

use it on klr 650. Best thing is that all the parts are moveable/flexible so that you can adjust it your way.

Fits any handlebar configuration
Adjustable at several locations makes it easy to install on any handlebar. Everything needed for installation is included - including allen wrench.
Wide face protects hands against wind, rocks, branches, etc.
Because the metal wraps completely around, it protects levers as well as hands.
If you only ride street, it's a nice item to have but not a necessity. If you ride off-road at all, you need this product!
I've had cheaper substitues that I wasted money on. This product is well worth the price, even at full retail.

Nice Product at a great price.
Bought these on sale for my NC700X and after some adjusting I got them where I want them. They provide good wind protection. I saw on the NC700 forum a guy crashed with them and they held up and saved his mirrors, hope I don't have to test that.

EASY install on DR650SE
These inexpensive handguards are sturdier than the OEM wind deflectors on most dualsports. They're also easier to install or remove, and they're adjustable for fit. They protect hands a bit from wind blast, precipitation, and brush. They also stiffen up handlebars and protect the clutch and brake levers a bit. I just wish they were offered in colors besides black.

PROS: Inexpensive, Simple installation, Sturdier than stock

CONS: Levers need adjusting, Only sold in black

BEST USES: Lever crash protection, Roost protection, Brush protection, Strengthens handlebars, Wind Protection

broke at the middle bolt
I bought these for my '96 KLR 650. They did hold up for my first ride out this year where I took 3 falls (two to the left, one to the right) going between 5 and 15 mph. However, I dropped my bike to the right side from a stop and the right guard broke at the middle joint.

Would recommend if you need it for wind protection on the highway, not if you plan on dropping it.

PROS: Wind protection, Easy To Install

CONS: broke, Off-Road

BEST USES: Roost, Highway Wind

Installed Easily-Work great
I installed these on my 2011 Suzuki Dl650a as I wanted something to protect the controls and possibly stop the wind on my hands during colder weather riding. Installation was easy but did require tweaking the controls position. They allow for retaining treh stock handlebar dampeners. I was impressed with how robust the actual bracket is. These are actually a bit less expensive than the factory hand guards and I understand those really don't protect the controls so I went for these. Check out YouTube user NMRick505 for a video overview I made showing the installed product. Appears HTML links not allowed so I can't link the video.

PROS: Fit, Finish, Strength

CONS: Little, Need to adjust controls

BEST USES: Fits DL650, Dual Sport Riding

Well crafted product
A few years ago I bought a set for my Suzuki GS500F to shield my hands from colder weather. Worked well. Installation was a bit tricky due to the fairing on the front and the aluminum guard bars interfering with the lever ends. Little tweeks here and there allowed the levers to reach their release points. The fairing was resilient enough to allow a bit of flex when the handlebar was hitting the stops. Only drawback was the bar inserts small diameter - solved that with 10 wraps of electrical tape around them. Bonus was better stability aerodynamics at freeway speeds !

Good Value
These are great value for the money... I have installed them on:
1) Kawasaki KLX250s
2) Suzuki DR-Z 125-L
3) Suzuki DL650 (V-Strom)

For the KLX250s and the DR-Z, the install was simple and straightforward. The V-Strom was a little more challenging and required some Dremeling to get the plastic part of the guards to clear the fairing at full deflection.

They have survived a couple of drops (on the dirt bikes) so far and are wearing well. On the V-Strom, they provide excellent wind and lane-splitting hand protection.

PROS: Size, Color, price, Fitment

Darn Good for On-Sale Price
These are the easiest and quickest to install hand guards I have ever installed; and I have installed dozens. Build quaility is good. Looks are good. The most adjustable handguards I've seen. If you can tolerate a little extra weight, these are the best deal around when on-sale (45 buckeros).

PROS: Seems very strong, Very easy to install, Good Hand Coverage

CONS: Heavy
