Motorcycle Brake Lines
Cycle Gear doesn’t mess around when it comes to safety and motorcycle brake lines are top-of-list for us. Older components, namely rubber lines made to meet a price point, will degrade and stretch-out over time. This will negatively affect the flow of hydraulic brake fluid. The solution is brakes that utilize steel braided lines that will withstand the tests of time and grime. If you’ve got questions about how today’s hydraulic motorcycle brake lines work, our friends at Common Tread have answers. Give that a read then get what you need here at Cycle Gear!
Brake Lines For Motorcycles: Modern Design & Application
Squeezing your brake lever sends fluid from the handlebar-mounted master cylinder through the motorcycle brake lines and into the calipers, where it presses pistons against rotor and brings you to a stable stop. Like we said before, safety is our priority so upgrading to steel braided brake lines on your motorcycle is a wise investment. Doing so will improve braking performance and help stave off brake fade during aggressive riding. Some high-performance models will come out of the factory with stainless steel brake lines on the motorcycle as standard; consider doing the same upgrade if your bike currently lacks them. If you’ve got questions about finding or installing the correct steel braided brake lines for your motorcycle, or any other motorcycle brake lines questions, contact our Customer Service crew for assistance.
