Bilt Techno Jacket

For those really hot summer days BiLT came up with the Techno Mesh Motorcycle Jacket so you can ride cool without giving up the benefits of CE armor. BiLT also added some 600 denier panels where it matters most and made sure you will be seen by including hi-vis piping. This jacket can't be beat.

  • Ultra-flow Techno mesh body material with 600 denier reinforced panels
  • Tab adjustment sleeve system
  • VELCRO® brand fastener adjustment hip tabs
  • Touring collar with neoprene padding
  • Zip entry front pockets
  • High visibility reflective piping
  • Short connecting zip
  • CE approved armor at shoulders and elbows
  • Removable memory foam back panel
  • Removable quilted liner

Great warm weather jacket
Crash tested-- 35mph lowside around curve on PCH in Big Sur. Comfortable enough in 100+ degree weather, which means you will wear it and it will protect you. Unadvertised zippered exterior utility pocket across lower back. Light color shows dirt and road grime after awhile, easily cleaned with a soft brush, mild detergent and a garden hose. No ostentatious logos or brand names plastered all over it, so you can choose to keep it it plain and classy or personalize it.
There is nothing about this jacket I would change, it would be highly recommended at 3x the price.

PROS: Durable, Stylish, Versatile, Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable

BEST USES: Commute In Traffic, Casual Wear, Safety, Warm Weather, Long Rides

hit the ground hard today
I put my KLR650 down on the side of a highway while avoiding a collision today. I was doing about 70 on the open road, was able to grab my brakes briefly before hitting a rough shoulder which probably put me down at about 50mph when I let off the brakes and eventually went down. I landed 25-30 feet past my bike which flipped after hitting a sign and landed facing the opposite direction of travel. I hit the ground hard, smacked my helmet twice, ect. ect. I couldn't believe that my jacket was in one piece. My helmet (Bilt Apollo) took a beating and served it's purpose. But this "budget" jacket delivered more than I would have expected. The back pad is very light and flimsy. However, the shoulder and elbow pads are firm, absorbent, and feel like quality. I don't often ride with the liner in because I live in AZ. If need be, I throw on a light sweater underneath. I like the features of the jacket. The lower back vents, sleeve buttons to cinch up the sleeves around the forearms, and the reflective pinstriping. I also like the inner pockets both in the jacket, or in the liner if I have it in. Either way I have an inside pocket. My spill was hard, and the jacket survived unscathed. I just need to wash the dirt out of it. FOR THE MONEY, you will be hard pressed to find a better jacket. Better jackets are out there, but they will likely always cost more. I got the jacket at 13.5k miles and now I have 19.8k miles on the bike. This jacket is holding up very well. If you are on a budget, like me, try one on and see how you like it. I recommend it.

For HOT weather!
The best jacket ever (with a bit of homemade alteration) for riding in very hot weather. In the heat of summer, I'm always seeing guys riding around in t-shirts (no helmet) and shorts. Fools! There's no need to expose your corpus delicious to rashe de la rhode when this great jacket works, and is really low priced for what it is. It delivers the protection a rider sorely needs, and is cool with the wind flowing effortlessly through it. I added a Bilt Cooling Vest last summer and it was like riding with air conditioning. The vest got my shirt wet, but without it I would be wet from sweat. In the heat, my 60-40 shirts dry in 15 minutes anyway! Internet forums will tell you the soft foam in the back is worthless. I took it out, and the pocket for it also, and that gave me even better air flow. The handy insulation works well only if the whole outfit is covered with my always-present windproof rain jacket. This jacket plus vest gives me the protection all riders need, plus it's downright comfortable in 95 degree weather. I'll be riding with the mesh pants this summer also. I'm a 70 year old who lives on a Yamaha 250 all summer (and Spring and Fall). I have all Bilt gear (In spite of their schtick about everything always being on sale). It works good, and I can afford it on Social Security.

PROS: Comfortable, Stylish, Casual Commuter, Abrasion Resistant

Great jacket for the price
Great jacket. With the lining it's good down to about 45 degrees. Without, good to the mid to upper 90's. If your out on the road, there's enough ventilation for 100+ (yes, it's hot, but better than being baked by the sun).

PROS: Comfortable, Well Insulated

Mesh Jacket at Cycle Gear
I bought this jacket just before a May ride. 2400 miles in less than a week. I went through wind storms, sand storms, rain, hot weather of 98 F, and cool weather of 40 F., all in a week - This jacket just got the performance test it wasn't expecting. I do about 600 - 700 miles a day when getting to the destination, so I'm in the saddle a lot (V-twin Tour bike). Bottom line is ..... This Mesh jacket did it all. I have a lot of jackets now and have had over the years. For the price and the durability, fit, and usage you get out of this jacket, it is amazing. If you're looking at other jackets (and I did), I would sure recommend you give this one a strong consideration.

just what i was looking for
the "fit" is what sold me.. this model is available in "long" sizes.. no more short sleeve length, or open lower back area.. being sensitive to bee stings, the high collar was welcomed.. mountain riding offers quite a wide range in temperatures.. the removable liner is a nice feature for those conditions... i wanted a modestly priced jacket, seeing that i need one for summer, and one for the winter season..

PROS: Comfortable

Was a great deal and good fit
I was very pleased with the product and its construction, seems very durable.

The only complaint I have was that the Dominator CE Back Protector Insert (web2044107) was not included. Here is the link to that product:

I'm a large guy (6'4" 320lbs) and it's hard to find gear in my size and this 4x Jacket fit snugly but still very comfortable around the waist (actually have to cinch the strap) I'm actually very pleased that it's a good fit because you don't want gear to be too loose either.

I purchased this because I've lost over 160 pounds and my custom leathers are too loose and unsafe should I fall. The pics are on my Sport 900 which has been in storage for many years waiting on me to lose weight (still have a ways to go to get back to 230 goal)

PROS: Good fit, Affordable, Comfortable

CONS: Back Armor Not Included

Great Summer Jacket
You have a 3-season jacket already, especially if you live in the Valley of the Sun. So do yourself a favor, when you go to try these on for your size, first take the liner out, and select your size from there.

This jacket ventilates, and does well with shifting temperatures on trips to the hills. The reflective piping glows blue/white under certain headlights, and you can really be seen at a distance at night.

All in all, a clear winner.

PROS: Well ventilated, Stylish, Comfortable, Abrasion Resistant, Reflective Piping

Save me a world of hurt...
I had this jacket for two weeks before I laid my bike down at fifty five. I went high side landed on my face (full face helmet for the win), left elbow and right knee. The left arm shredded from the force of the first hit and the elbow armor slid away allowing my elbow to get a small patch of road rash. It stopped everything else from the remaining rolling and sliding. A business card size path of road rash is all I came away with where the jacket was protecting me. All things considered I'd hate to see what I look liked if I wasn't wearing it.

PROS: Abrasion Resistant

CONS: Tears Easily

Casual wear, fashionable, great for short trips to the store. Nice liner for warmth, feels larger than sized, padding ok.. Good buy at price point.

PROS: Well Insulated, Stylish

what are the instructions for washing/cleaning this jacket?
A shopper on Jul 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: read the label sewn in the jacket. Wipe down with mild detergent. Mine will get a woolite soak before the summer ends. I hope it lasts. If not then In a crash it will not protect me at all. Better to find out then and not on the road.
What's the best way to wash the zip in liner? There's no care tag on it
A shopper on Mar 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Gentle wash, cold water and hang to dry.
Is the zipper supposed to be on the left on the men's jacket?
A shopper on Jun 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Seems so, My zipper is on the Euro side. Think of it as Imported and Not girly.
Medium and Medium Tall , what is that different , longer sleeves ?
A shopper on Jul 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you are 6 ft, like myself, I recommend getting the medium tall. I myself have the medium and it's pretty short in the torso which makes it look like a small to be honest.
Is the armor removable?
A shopper on Mar 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is removable, But why? just to wash I hope. The jacket is like wearing a T-shirt only you have abrasion protection Plus Padding. I really Like it. I also have the Rev' It Pants ( First Gen, Zips all the way up). Together its like riding with Shorts and a T-shirt, but you have protection. You will love it in the heat. Remember to Hydrate.
I'm 6' 2" and weigh 195# will the large/ tall be a good choice????
Wayne W on Jul 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Depends on shoulder width. I'm 6' and 183 lbs. and I have a silver one in large/tall size and shoulder pads are too far apart for me but I have relatively narrow shoulders. I bought a second one in a nedium regular size in a high viz yellow (which doesn't come in tall sizes) and it fits much much better in shoulders and elbows and is fairly form fitting in chest. A medium tall would have been better but the real purpose of the jacket is protection and so the medium was a good fit in that regard.
Is the liner waterproof?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Through a light 15 to 20 min rain it holds up pretty well. Some moisture accumulates naturally from perspiration, but not from the rain downpour. It has to be raining pretty hard for you to feel wet and cold. You would certainly have enough time to pull under a gas station or something to get outta the monsoon before you're just too wet and miserable to ride. Nothing I've ever owned has been truly waterproof except my Cortech Accelerator boots and my Goretex jacket and pants.
