Where conventional knee/shin guards protect mainly from roost and slides onto the knee, the Alpinestars SX-1 Knee Guards actually brace the knee joint against injuries that can be caused by an especially hard or awkward landing. Using a Dual Gear System with integrated hinge gears, the Alpinestars SX-1 Knee Guards offer protection against hyperflexion without limiting mobility. The shin and thigh plates are perforated for breathability, while the polyurethane patella cup uses a floating design to maintain coverage and viscoelastic padding for comfort.
