Scenes from World Ducati Week as the company celebrates 100 years

Jul 07, 2026

World Ducati Week is always a big homecoming for the Ducatisti, but this year had the added weight of marking 100 years since the company was founded.

The first dip into the motorcycling world came 20 years later, but by any measure, Ducati has left a lasting imprint on the global motorcycle industry. Millions of motorcyclists in countries around the world who will never own a Ducati are well aware of the brand, if only because of its success at the highest levels of racing and its iconic designs.

The three-day World Ducati Week festival took place over the past weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy while people here in the United States were distracted by another anniversary. Here are some scenes from that other birthday celebration.

Thousands of Ducati owners and fans gathered at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli to celebrate the company's centennial. Activities at the three-day event included a parade through the area, historical displays, a judged bike show, musical acts, appearances by great Ducati racers from the past, and, to end the weekend, the Lenovo Race of Champions, a race among current Ducati riders in MotoGP, World Superbike, and national Superbike championships around the world. Owners of Ducatis built in 2000 and prior had the opportunity to apply to enter their bikes in the Ducati Heritage Contest, a show that judged the motorcycles based on authenticity, condition, and historical significance. A 1999 Ducati 996 SPS Factory Replica won first place. Ducati photo.

Historical displays traced Ducati's century-long history as a company, but of course new models also got time in the spotlight. The Collezione 100 limited-edition motorcycles, built to honor the centennial, were prominently on display. Ducati photo.

Now that Ducati is fully invested in the motocross world, too, it was natural that some freestyle stunts were part of the entertainment. Ducati photo.

Casey Stoner spreads his arms wide and smiles before a large crowd
A total of 23 current racers and 14 riders from the past participated in the events, with a total of 37 world championships among them. But Casey Stoner deserves special mention. He won Ducati's first MotoGP title in 2007, at a time when the Desmosedici was more known for ending careers than winning championships. It would be 15 years before another rider won a MotoGP championship on a Ducati. Ducati photo.

Bulega celebrates his win in front of grandstand full of fans
The highlight on Sunday was the 10-lap Lenovo Race of Champions, featuring Ducati riders from world and national championship series on Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore street motorcycles painted to resemble their race bikes. Spoiler alert that should be no surprise: Nicolò Bulega wins every contest he enters in 2026. Every qualifying session, every World Superbike race, and that pattern continued at World Ducati Week, as well. You can watch the race in the video below. Ducati photo.

The event ended with a drone and fireworks display and Ducati issued these official numbers: attendance of 118,036 over three days, including people from 94 nations and representing 275 Ducati Official Clubs. Ducati photo.
