Very Roomy Bag
I am very impressed with this tail bag. I went to Cycle Gear to purchase the Sedici Venito bag to use to carry my laptop to work. The dimensions of that bag seemed adequate for my laptop. Glad I brought it in person, because it did not fit. My laptop is 10"X 14" with rounded corners, and still did not fit in the Venito. This Distanza allows it to lay down, or I can stand it on edge (with a sleeve) and store stuff all around it. It holds a lot of stuff. I have it mounted on a Honda Shadow 750 ACE on the rear seat. (I replaced the factory seat with a Mustang seat, so it is wider than factory).I also have 2 slant saddle bags. I recently took it for an overnight trip.I don't like riding with a backpack, so I (over)filled the backpack, and the whole thing fit in the main compartment. The bag mounts securely. There are 2 straps with clips that go under the rear seat, and criss-cross velcro straps (like back brace material) that can be used to mount to a sissy bar. I also added two bungy cords from the back handle of the bag and attached them to my rear fender out of site. I probably don't need them because it attaches securely, but since I'm carrying my laptop most of the time, I wanted to be sure. The main compartment fits my helmet, (Full face) or a surprising amount of groceries. It can even fit two six packs side by side on the bottom, with room on top for other stuff. I'm very happy with it so far. The only down side that I see as a potential problem is the zipper on the top flap. Because the top flap sinks in when empty (not a huge deal)the material inside the flap is loose with nothing in there, and sometimes gets caught in the zipper. I had a fight with it once, but as long as I am careful,it doesn't seem to be a problem. Certainly not a show stopper. Very Nice product!

PROS: Rain cover, Good looking bag, Good storage compartments, Good Sized Storage Compar, Commuter Friendly, Multiple Tie Down Points

CONS: none

BEST USES: Light Grocery Run, Commuting, Overnight trip

Great bag
I love this bag! I just got a bike as a commuter (750 Nighthawk) and it already had a sissy bar. I grabbed this bag to throw my rain gear in and I LOVE it. I keep my rain gear in the top flap, which helps hold the shape(it tends to "sink" down without it). I keep my casual shoes in the bottom flap and a jacket(plenty of room) and when I get to where I am going, the bigger compartment holds my riding boots just fine. It will not fit a helmet, but I didn't expect it to.

I have no complaints so far, I've only been using it every day for two weeks. I'm so impressed by the quality I'm about to add a pair of Sedici saddle bags to her!

(thanks to "Lew" for the saddle bag review which included a pic of my identical bike with the bags on it!)

PROS: Multiple compartments, Solid Sissybar Strap, Rain cover, Space

CONS: Top Shape Doesnt Hold

Great Bag
This bag is fantastic, able to carry 3 pairs mens jeans, 3 shirts, shoes, sweatshirt and more in the main compartment alone. Straps securily to seat and sissy bar..

Beware however if you use the rain cover be sure to bungee cord it down as mine flew off within the first 10 miles of driving, I should have known better.

holds a ton, keeps its shape when empty, secures under seat
Great: big volume, many pockets, secures under passenger seat or 10 other ways, keeps its shape when empty, holds a rolled up full Aerostich, liner jacket, gloves, lunch, and other extras. I leave my Aerostich in the bag when I go into the office and arrive in business clothes only. I carry a 36" locking cord to lock the helmet to the bike. I carry a complete laptop With Briefcase in the bag and lunch and replace them with the Aerostich when I'm parked…. Will hold a filled shopping bag when riding, Have used it commuting and weekend rides for the past 6 months and love it. Very high quality. It does sit high, but fits on both my SV650 and my BMW R1100S passenger seat. On my way to buy another so I don't have to transfer it from one bike to another, since first attaching the straps under the seat take about 10 minutes with a bit of trial and error…but once sized correctly hold very secure.

PROS: Has rain cover, Several compartments, Holds Full Aerostich Suit, Holds A Bag Of Groceries, Keeps Shape When Empty, Well made, Or Attach Many Ways, Straps Under Back Seat, Hold Laptop In Briefcase, Keeps Its Shape When Empt, Holds a ton

BEST ANSWER: It is not exactly square but the basic dimensions are: 14" long, 12.5 " wide, and 6.5 - 7.5 high. The top is curved so the height is at the top of the curve. The height can be increased about a half-inch with a zipper. It fits perfectly on the back of a KTM 390 Duke.
