Great tire, few compromises.
I combined a TKC80 front tire with an Anakee2 rear tire on my R1100GS and this might be the perfect combination for 80/20 dual-sporting. The TKC has about 3000 miles so far and the wear is looking even and slow. I was immediately impressed by the TKC's road manners. For an aggressive knobby, it is relatively tame on the road, i.e. minimal knob walk/wobble and sure-footed in the twisties. I have read that this is a fast-wearing tire, but my experience, thus far, is completely to the contrary. The volume of the tire is definitely...present, but I find the noise acceptable after a few miles. In the dirt, this tire brings a whole new level of confidence in loose gravel over my old Anakee2 front tire.

Bottom line: this is a great dual-sport tire that requires very little compromise.

PROS: Good road manners, Aggressive tread, Decent wear life

CONS: Loud

had thses on my 250 and i ride every day these tires did the job with out question and with out worry. when i bought them they were much cheaper but i did get 7500 miles out of them with no problems at all my front tire still looks new and i am waiting to order my next pair soon.

great so far
Bought this for a front on my Klr have 2300 mi. On it so far with about 80 percent street use is wearing very good has amazing grip even all the way to chicken strip and the side knobs are not chunking off at all. I do have to lower air pressure quite a bit for off road but still works good even in sand. I thought the price was a little high but if it keeps wearing like it is that will be offset by the mileage. I would recommend for duelsport use.

PROS: Easy To Install, Durable, Good Ride, Versatile, Good Cornering

CONS: Price

BEST USES: Street Riding, Off-Road

Great Dual Sport tires
Have put about 300 miles on these on a DR 650. So far so good, decent on the road and good in the woods. Seems like a 40/60 tire to me and even though I ride 50/50 they seem like the right purchase. Can't comment on tread life yet, but the price is comparable to other tires in this range nonetheless.

Give confidence both on and off road
The TK-80's are the best performing tires both on and off road that I have mounted on my XR650L. Very capable and reassuring on asphalt. Great dirt/ gravel traction when running a lower psi. Having put them through several 150 mile competitive dual sport events (easily handling all terrain elements), I cannot imagine mounting anything else. If it aint broke..... Don't fix it.

PROS: Easy To Install, Smooth On Pavement, Durable, Good Cornering, Great Traction On Dirt, Smooth Quiet, Good Ride, Versatile

BEST USES: Off-Road, Upgrade, Street Riding

Best all around tire!
I purchased this tire to replace a worn Kenda 271 (60/40) on my KLR, which was a great all around tire but I wanted something a bit more aggressive off road and still be able to ride to work occasionally. I install my own tires on my Dual sport with Tire spoons and I accidentally bought the "Tubeless type" instead of the "Tube Type". If you install your own tires like I do keep this in mind when purchasing it, the tubeless tire can be used with a tube but it's much harder to mount with spoons.

The tire is great on and off road, feels solid around corners and grippy off road, has little bit of vibration at low speeds (Parking lot etc) but it smooths out as you progress. I have maybe 300 miles on this tire since it was mounted and I don't see any major wear.
So far so good plus it looks really mean on your bike.
I will be buying this tire again.

PROS: Tough, Looks Mean, Good Ride, Grippy, Good Cornering

CONS: Low Speed Vibration, Noise

BEST USES: Upgrade, Off-Road, Replacement
