Works Well
As heated grips go, this is a good value. They work well and the rheostat is a nice touch... doesn't look cheap. They have made riding in the cold actually comfortable. For the first time my torso gets cold before my hands do. I have ridden on the interstate for more than an hour in 25 degree weather comfortably with these grips.

My only complaint is with the installation. The left hand grip went on nice and snug but the throttle side was just plain loose. I had to apply some filler material underneath it to get it to grip the throttle sleeve effectively. Even with that it came loose one time when I was on the road and I ended up riding home just gripping the throttle sleeve.... a real PITA. Once I replaced the filler material I was back in business. It would have been nice if the grip had just fit the first time.
Pretty good grips, just a few issues.
All in all I like these grips. But they don't install quick and easy. I installed them on my SV650's 7/8 handle bar. Throttle side fit somewhat OK but the clutch side was way too loose. I've tried glue and other items with little success. I wrapped a lot of electrical tape and that helped but with a moderate amount of force the grip slides. They warm up OK in the winter but with thicker gloves it takes about 10 minutes to get the heat to come through. I'd say OK for mild weather but below freezing temps these are too light of an application.

PROS: Adjustable heat knob, Fit and finish are good

CONS: Inside grip diameter, Large diameter of grips

Good Value
Great value for the cost, bought for my Dad's DL1000. Wired in easily and adds comfort due to the larger diameter of the grip. Used durring a recent rainy/cool 4 day 1500 mile trip. In my dads words "did I thank you for these things, they're great"!

PROS: Larger diameter, Easy Application, Low Cost

CONS: No switch mount

Yeah... It gets below 30 in Houston.
My only real complaint about these warmers, is the installation of the throttle side grip. I condiderd using electrical tape to fill in the gap between the grip and the throttle, wound up going with the expanding gorrila glue. Also not very fond of the bulky knob housing, nor did I have any room to mount it on the bars of my zx-14. I removed the casing all together and used the existing hardware to mount it through a small inexpensive piece of black plastic next to the instrument cluster. Now it looks like it came with the bike.

PROS: Solid Construction, Larger size grips

CONS: Ineffective below 39 deg, Loose throttle side fit

Heated Grips OK
The oversized throttle grip makes installation a pain. I put some toolbox drawer liner around my throttle tube...lubed that with grip glue, and pounded the heated grip on. Both grips are oversized, so these might not be for people with smaller hands. Also, there is no relay included, so if you install per the instructions, you would drain your batteryif you leave the grips on by accident.

PROS: They heat up your gloves

CONS: Oversized throttle side

Good Grips. Nice price.
Installation tips. Breaker bar for bar end weights are handy. Use wd-40 with skinny screwdriver to remove existing grips. They should slip right off. Degrease the bars with soap. clutch side: use hairspray on the inside of grip and bar. use a Vice grip over cloth to twist and slide the heated grip. Throttle side. same removal process with wd 40. Degrease the bar with soap. Probably need to cut the end of the throttle heated grip to make room for your bar end weight. I installed mine and proceeded to trim with an exacto knife. Larger on the throttle side so one layer of electrical tape horizontally about 4 pieces the width of the throttle sleeve. Use hairspray also but with a shot of 3m 77 adhesive to get a sure stick.

A decent product
The product works good far as giving off heat. It was difficult to find somewhere to put switch due to its size on my ninja. The throttle side wouldn't fit properly. I was unable to place grip all the way on throttle tube. Also if you have small hands like me with the grips being much bigger your hands gives out quicker.

Put them on my '09 KLR650
Put these on my KLR650, throttle side grip was a bit too big, and the throttle itself had a plastic ring that had to be trimmed off. I ended up using Gorilla Glue to attach, the glue expands and holds great.

On this mornings ride (about 90 minutes), local temp was between 34F & 39F and these kept my hands from getting too cold, a pair of gloves with minimal palm padding and better knuckle protection would probably work the best with these, my current gloves have a lot of padding in the palms so I'm not getting all the heat transfer.

The grips are larger, I have small hands, wear a medium size glove, but I like the larger size

PROS: Easy to adjust temp dial, Good value for the money

CONS: Throttle side grip size

Not much heat
Installed these in my KTM Adv. Had to cut the ends off to accomodate bark busters, came very close to cutting into heating elements. Had to trim throttle tube shoulder way down to slide grip far enought onto tube so the grip wouldn't rub against bark buster. I don't mind that I had to cut them, I figured I would.

It takes a full 5mins to heat-up and then it's barely noticable. I haven't tested the temp control output yet, so I don't know where the problem lies, but since I had to extensively cut these down I doubt I'll be able to exchange them for another set to try. I'll call Customer Support and see.

No recomendations either way at this point.

PROS: Feels Sturdy

YAMAHA OEM manufacturer
These are the same exact grips Yamaha OEM accessories sells for $300+ last time I checked. Look it up! I have had them on my '08 FJR for about 4 years now and they still work like new. I ride about 15K a year so they get a lot of use. If you have a FJR, look at the square cut out just below the glove box. The controller fits perfectly. The only thing you won't have is the custom bracket to hold it in place but JB Weld does the trick. It's not like you will want to uninstall them. The rheostat makes it ultimately adjustable as opposed to low/med/high. These are a bargain. Think I bought mine for about $80 under a different brand but clearly the same manufacturer. If anything the rubber is starting to show signs of wear but what do you expect after 55K miles of use.
