S&S Cycle 450S Camshaft
Forged through hundreds of brutal hours on the dyno, the asphalt and the track, these S&S cams are tuned to deliver immediate, uncompromising power the moment you twist the throttle. They are precision-engineered to maximize performance across every mile of pavement, with development rooted in testing rather than guesswork.
Features:
- A bolt-in hydraulic cam for 74" and 80" Shovelhead engines, made for earlier Panheads and Shovelheads
- The 450S can also be used as a low end torque cam in modified Shovelhead engines up to 88" with compression ratios of up to 8.5:1
- Although designed for use with hydraulic tappets, the S&S 450S can be used with solid lifters. Use with solids will result in more valve train noise, slightly higher cylinder pressure, and slightly more torque
- Good low and mid-range torque
- Recommend hydraulic lifters
- Made in the USA
Cam Specs:
- Intake Lift: 0.475"
- Exhaust Lift: 0.475"
- Intake Lift at TDC: 0.158"
- Exhaust Lift at TDC: 0.152"
