Saddlemen Explorer Special touring seats are meticulously crafted to ensure enduring comfort over long distances. Each seat is designed with deep, sculpted contours to deliver even support and minimize pressure on the tail and hip bones. The innovative split-cushion design allows for independent compression of the lumbar support and seat cushion, mitigating forward sliding and enhancing overall riding experience. The seat's cover is hand-stitched, featuring the classic Saddlemen look with a leather-grain SaddleHyde texture accented by chrome studs for a touch of shine. Lying under this appealing surface is a layer of headliner foam, lending a soft feel to the seat. Further enhancing rider comfort is Saddlemen's SaddleGel, strategically placed to dampen vibrations and offer tremendous support. The seat's core is built on Saddlemen’s progressive density foam, forming a supportive base that resists breakdown even after extensive usage over many years. An optional feature for the Explorer Special is the patented built-in backrest that provides ample lower back support, easily adjustable and requiring no tools for removal. Additionally, the backrest can be folded forward, granting convenient passenger access. For those who choose the backrest option, it comes with a storage pouch, a convenient feature for passengers to store their essentials within easy reach.
