No warranty!
I would give this no stars but One is all you can do. I recently purchased this item, and installed the same day I received it. There were not any clear mounting instructions just pictures so I went with that. I placed the shield brackes on the windscreen and snugged the bolts up so I could see with position on the headlight was going to work best (inside headlight bracket or outside). I chose the inside as it seemed to be the less stressful position for the shield. I installed it like described using the plastic washers that came with it between the bolt and shield. I decided to use loctite on the bolts since I KNOW you cant put a lot of torque on the screws or you stand the chance of cracking the plastic. I also used a 5 Inlb. setting on the torque screwdriver I borrowed. I am reinstalling the motor on the bike after replacing the transmission so I was in and out of the garage on several occasions over a two day period. After the second day I decided to try and wax the screen to see of some of the scuffs form shipping would come out. I discovered a 3/4 inch crack on one side of the shield in the bolt area. I called Cycle gear to be told that Puig Would have to warranty it but should not be a problem because it was only a few days old. After three attempts and two emails to Puig (two week time frame) they send me a response saying that the shield came in contact with the loctite and that is what caused the crack. Anyone who has used loctite knows you only apply a drop of loctite to this small of a screw (#8?) That is a total cop out on a warranty claim and just an "any excuse will do" reason to deny a warranty claim. I would bet they have paid out NO warranty claims ever. Disappointed in my first and only transaction with Cycle Gear if they cant resolve this.

Great Value and Functionality for a Small Screen
Installed on 2017 Bonneville T100, does a great job of getting wind off your chest and makes riding at speeds over 50 MPH much more pleasant. Be very careful with installation of the four screws that mount the screen to the brackets, as others have discovered cracking. Definitely do not use thread locker as it will interact with the plexiglass and make it hardened thus more prone to cracking. I mounted the four screws with a torque wrench at just under 2nm and it does not budge. If you deform the plastic washers you have gone too far. I added a couple of washers on the stock headlight bolts to keep the screen bracket from touching and marking the headlight bracket. Mine screen has stayed rock solid in place... it does vibrate a bit at the top but you really do not notice it when you are riding. Its small so don't expect it to get rid of all the wind (maybe the Puig Plus would be a better choice). It has literally changed my whole experience in a great way for any riding over 50 MPH.
