Born from a racer's needs, the Flare Windshield is a purpose built shield meant to solve the issues of instability at high speeds. The Flare is the original motorcycle windshield of its kind, and has surprised riders everywhere with not only how great it looks, but also with how well it performs. It has brought Klock Werks to the top of the list, when it comes to high quality, well designed windscreens. The innovative patented design features "hips" on the outer edges that route wind away from the rider while creating additional downforce on the front end of the motorcycle. This was developed for high speed record attempts in Bonneville, but its design proved to be unsurpassed for the average street rider, as well. This results in a significant improvement in wind deflection and front end stability at highway speeds as opposed to a stock type windshield. The "flip" at the top of the Flare is designed to reduce buffeting by kicking the wind up and allowing it to flow back as "clean", less turbulent air for the rider. It offers wind protection equivalent to a standard shield measured at about 2" taller.

• The 14" height may be one of the most versatile sizes in the line-up for those long haulers that want the wind protection but don't want the look of having one of the tallest windshields out there
• The 16" height was designed for long-haul touring - it offers the largest pocket of protection from the wind for both rider and passenger while also adding some style, and is recommended for those who prefer looking through the windshield
• Wind tunnel designed and tested, the “hips” provide added down-force while the “flip” directs air over the rider
• Lexan Polycarbonate with FMR hard coating is used to create these custom-molded designs with unmatched durability
• Pre-drilled for easy mounting using stock windshield hardware
• The Flare windshields are measured from the center bolt hole to the start of the 'flip' at the top of the windshield

Note: The black and chrome windshields are completely opaque - if you ride looking through your shield as opposed to over it, these will be unsuitable finish options for you.
