Born from a racer's needs, the Flare Windshield is a purpose built shield meant to solve the issues of instability at high speeds. The Flare is the original motorcycle windshield of its kind, and has surprised riders everywhere with not only how great it looks, but also with how well it performs. It has brought Klock Werks to the top of the list, when it comes to high quality, well designed windscreens. The innovative patented design features "hips" on the outer edges that route wind away from the rider while creating additional downforce on the front end of the motorcycle. This was developed for high speed record attempts in Bonneville, but its design proved to be unsurpassed for the average street rider, as well. This results in a significant improvement in wind deflection and front end stability at highway speeds as opposed to a stock type windshield. The "flip" at the top of the Flare is designed to reduce buffeting by kicking the wind up and allowing it to flow back as "clean", less turbulent air for the rider. It offers wind protection equivalent to a standard shield measured at about an inch taller.
