The wide-range rebound adjustments and the preload collar allow for further customization of traction and ride height, respectively. These shocks boast 2.5-inch diameter aluminum bodies that not only shed heat efficiently but also increase internal oil volume for improved damping control, courtesy of Fox's high-flow pistons developed from racing insights. The addition of a piggyback reservoir enlarges the oil capacity and employs an internal floating piston to maintain separation between the nitrogen charge and shock oil. For tougher rides, the bottom-out control (BOC) enhances compression damping during the most demanding impacts, ramping up damping force by as much as 30 percent in the final quarter of travel.
