Whether you're getting roosted by the guy in front or you're the guy in front on the receiving end of trail-side surprises, having a layer of protection in front of your headlight can go a long way. An AltRider Headlight Guard is made from polycarbonate; the same material used in bulletproof windows. This Lexan panel secures to a stainless steel frame using 1/4 turn Dzus fasteners that enable easy removal for cleaning.

Because there’s no bezel between the headlight and windshield, installing any headlight guard will cause glare. This is especially dangerous at night, when that reflected light could blind you. That’s why AlRider included the AltRider Glare Guard with their headlight guard; it will protect your eyes and complement the lines of your BMW.

Note: While polycarbonate is an incredibly tough material, chemical based cleaners will rapidly break down the material (ex. alcohol, Windex, etc). This is same case for your visor on your helmet. Only warm water and mild soap should be used to clean the polycarbonate headlight guard.
