STACYC Electric Balance Bikes are a safe, rider-friendly gateway to the world of two wheels. The 12eDrive Balance Bike is the perfect choice for the newest of new riders who are (literally) just getting their balance.

The electric drivetrain lets new "rippers" focus entirely on balance, brake and throttle. The distractions of noise, vibration and heat of petrol-powered conventional minibikes are gone. The weight-savings over gas minibikes are perhaps the greatest benefit. The 12eDrive has a ready-to-ride weight of just 17 pounds (!). 

With this model's 12" wheels, your child should start with an inseam of 14” to adequately touch the ground with a slight bend at the knees for comfort and stability. Riding can start in the non-powered mode. For establishing basic balance, the lightweight design and low stand-over height make a STACYC Electric Balance Bike as friendly as any stability or balance bike - with or without power assist. Developing hand braking skills comes second. Then the electrons can start to flow. 

Three selectable power modes let riders graduate to higher top speeds as they are ready. The 12eDrive features 5, 7 and 9 mph speed settings. The BMX style drivetrain has a shielded rear freewheel and enclosed chain for reduced maintenance and rider safety. Run time is between 30 and 60 minutes. As with any powered two-wheeler, run-time varies with use and terrain. 

Equally important is the reduced charge times of STACYC's proprietary battery design. A similar 45 to 60 minutes is required for a charge. One charger and one battery is included with each eDrive bike.  Extra batteries are available separately and are compatible with all models of STACYC eDrive Electric Balance Bikes.
