too good to be true!
It's so hard to find affordable, good looking bar end mirrors. I purchased these because they are about 1/4 the price of other similarly designed mirrors(these are the only ones that I could find that were sold as a pair- all others are nearly $100 dollars or more PER mirror!).
They are fairly simple to install, but do not come with instructions. Make sure not to over tighten- you will break the internal mechanism that holds it in place inside the bar. If your bike has bar end slider weights, they must be removed and cannot be used in conjunction with these mirrors, which are not as heavy as most bar end sliders/weights- i.e. less stability.
The biggest problem is that the screws that hold the actual mirror unit to the adjustable arm are inserted from inside the housing with the actual mirror glass then permanently attached over them, so you cannot tighten them if they rattle loose(and they most likely will). This has the potential to become a serious safety issue.
I would only recommend these as backups. Cough up the cabbage and get the better, more expensive, and SAFER mirrors. You and your bike deserve it.

PROS: Attractive, Sold in pairs, Inexpensive

CONS: Poorly Designed, Must remove bar-ends, Can rattle loose

I can finally see behind me
I don't have hollow bars, so I did need to install these a little differently. I used my stock bar-end screw to go thru cheap aluminum bar-ends that I got free with a purchase elsewhere, and then thru the Mirrors. There was a difference in screw size, so I used a rubber grommet to keep these mirrors in place.
I was able to keep my bar-ends the same size as stock.
I would really have liked the option to have these mirrors stick straight up, instead of out to the side. I keep bumping the mirrors by accident, and I know that my cover won't fit on my bike.
On my test ride, one flipped in at 30mph (scared my on the highway), and the other slowly angled down from vibration. After tightening it up more, I had no problems on my 900 mile trip!

PROS: Convex

CONS: Unable to point 'up'

Skip these for the better ones...
Go for the more expensive ones. Bar end mirrors are awesome. They give a sleek look on your ride and the range of visibility is excellent. I can see directly behind me with no problem. But these cheap ones are truly "CHEAP". As others have mentioned the tightening screws being inside the mirror is ridiculous. The moment somebody tries to squeeze walking between bikes and barely nudges the mirror it will slightly loosen the screws, the road vibrations will quickly loosen it way more. Next thing you know your mirrors are more of a blur of what's behind you cause the shaking is non-stop and irreparable. I am on my second set right now and have promised myself that I will be buying the more expensive ones that are able to adjust/tighten the actual mirror plate next time. If I wouldn't have been stingy in the first place I would've saved myself over $100.On a side note for the road racers, convex mirrors have great range of vision and you can see everything behind you. But because of their slight distortion they do not give you that great clarity or depth perception. So identifying whether there is a cop behind you in the distance or the speed in which someone is approaching from behind is not that easy. You'll have to rely on your keen sense of self-preservation to recognize when there is danger behind.

hesitant at first, but ultimately glad
I switched out my stock blinker mirrors for the Hotbodies turn signal block offs for a cleaner look on my GSXR K7-600 and K8-1000. Didn't really want to pay $90.00 each for another brand of bar end mirror, so I went we these...heck, they were on sale ...why not, and two for half the price of the other brands one. What I ended up doing after seeing that the mirrors were making contact with the frame when the wheel was fully turned, I decided to reverse the layout, take your mirrors and use them on the opposite side they belong on, but also make sure that the mirror bracket points upward. (You will have to disassemble them). This way it will not hit the frame of the bike by them being in a slightly upward position, and also it will allow you to see more clearly in the mirrors without your arms covering up your viewing area. Remember to not overtighten the collar area allen screws, at first I couldn't figure out which screw tightened the mirror to keep it from moving with wind against it. So I kept tightening and ended up stripping a screw, and you can't find chrome metric allen socket screws anywhere!!! Anyway these barend mirrors worked out great, and still allow me to split lanes confidently with a little room to spare. Overall I will say that after being a little hesitant at first because of a cheaper price, I'm glad I have these now, they look great and so far, are holding up just fine.

PROS: No mirror vibration, Adjustability, Secure fit

CONS: Switched pieces, No instructions, Don't overtighten screws

bar end mirrors
I installed these on my 1977 KZ900 and they were simple to install, just tighten a few allen bolts. They look great and provide me with a clear view of whats behind me. The only downside is the vibration while riding, you can still see what's behind you, but it will be jumping around a bit.

PROS: Easy To Install, Easy to adjust, Looks good

CONS: Vibrate At Speed

Design Problems
Straight to the point, the mounting system that came with these mirrors WILL NOT WORK with a Harley Davidson Sportster. Simply put, the interior diameter of the Sportster's bars is larger that the maximum size of the expansion fitting, and because of the design of the throttle side of the handle bar, the expansion fitting does not go deep enough into the bar to grip metal even if it was wide enough. Sadly there is no "larger size" available.

So, me being a mechanical genius, I designed a mounting system that would allow me to mount these mirrors on my Sportster, making them like almost exactly as the designer intended. I was pleasantly surprised that the convex shape of the mirrors allowed me to see to the side and behind me in ways the stock mirrors couldn't.

In retrospect, I wonder if I should have gotten the folding mirrors instead. But if the mount that comes with them, is the same as the one that came with mine, I can easily upgrade at a later date.

If Cycle Gear wants to contact me about how I mounted them, I'd welcome the call.

Your millage may vary, please see warranty for details, this offer not valid in Alaska or Hawaii, prices may be higher elsewhere, take your keys, don't drink and ride, act like a knob and you'll be treated like a knob.

Really Poorly Constructed-Do NOT BUY!!!
I really like these mirrors-the 1st pair I purchased at Cycle Gear lasted only about 500 miles when installed on my 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200. The Mirrors loosened in a way that they both would shake when ever the engine was running. Since I had already used them I bought an Identical Set from the Cycle Gear Store I always shop at here in Las Vegas. I had to ride from Las Vegas to SE Montana which is about 1,000 miles to work on a new Federal Courthouse being constructed there. While in Montana the new set of mirrors began doing the same thing. I removed the mirrors in an attempt to repair them. The round part of the mirrors are fastened to the arm that holds them from behind the reflective surface of the mirror-you would have to destroy the mirror to get to the head of the fasteners that secure them. If the fasteners were installed the other direction it would be a pretty easy fix with some locktite or epoxy to secure those fasteners from loosening under normal engine vibrations from day to day riding. I still shop at Cycle Gear but will NEVER buy another set of these mirrors-I had to purchase another set from a different store and threw both sets away which is a shame, I really liked how these looked on my Bandit and they gave a good view of what's behind you but the shaking of the mirrors made using them impossible!!
