Perhaps it was the Power Valve technology. Maybe it was just a high-octane cup of morning joe. In the 1970s, Kenny Roberts would climb out of bed, grab a mug of dark roast and then go on to dominate AMA Grand National dirt tracks and slay the international FIM Grand Prix road racing circuits. Roberts' point-and-shoot style - forged on the dirt ovals of America - was nothing the world had ever seen before. "King" Kenny earned world championship titles in 1978, 1979 and 1980.

Later transitioning into team management, team ownership and then advocacy for racers' rights and track safety, Roberts continues to be an American hero. Partnering with the Welcome Home Heroes Foundation, Kenny Roberts donates his time to charity rides and motorcycle events that raise money for US veterans and their families.
