I bought these gloves because I was tired of feeling like my fingers had frozen and broken off despite winter riding gloves and thermal glove liners due to 26 degree weather minus wind chill. I used them same day and through the night when the temp hit 19. While I cannot say my hands stayed toasty, they were far from freezing. These glove liners kept the ride comfortable and my hand articulation smooth and purposeful on the controls. My only complaints are that the cord is too long and it would be nice if there was some sort of clip to keep it plugged into the liners as I had to stop once to re-plug in after stretching one of my arms out during the ride.
Best gloves I have purchased. I will tell you these gloves are temperature based so make sure you turn them off! I left the gloves plugged in and on my seat overnight. The gloves did burn a hole in my grey seat! Cycle Gear is awesome; these gloves have a year warranty and I was able to take the burnt gloves back and get a replacement free of charge! As long as your fingers are warm, your ride will be great. All you need are these liners for the winter and you will be good! Best money investment I ever spent.
I like to ride year round. I have plenty of gear to stay warm but in spite of all the gear my hands seem to get frozen. Bought these liners and it was like WOW! Can't believe I waited so long to make the purchase. I like that the liners by themselves don't require a thermostat. I would highly recommend these!
I have tried headed grips in the past, and although they help, your fingers will still get stiff fingers if you are riding with your fingers on the clutch or front brake because your riding in a city, you dont get much time to heat them back up on those grips... These gloves are a saver, I have made 6 hour rides in 35-40 degree weather with these bad boys and they are perfect.
These are basic liners that heat up, but it indicates that you are not to wear them bare handed. So you have to have on 3 pair of gloves, a base these and an outer glove. How comfortable is that. Great idea, and they do work in keeping your hands harm, bad construction in wearability.
