Kept me warm and dry
I bought the Explorer Jacket and Pants for a ride from Los Angeles to Montana and back. During the 3317 mile trip, I experienced 105 degree heat (going through Nevada, Arizona and Utah as well as high 30s to low 40s (along with 800 miles of rain) in costal Washington and Oregon. In the heat, it could use a little better venting but was no worse than any other all season jacket/pant combo I have ever worn.

It was during the two days of my trip from Seattle back Eureka CA that this suit really shined. I was rained on the entire time with temperatures from the high 30s to the low 40s. Both days, I got to my hotel and took off the suit warm and dry even after 12 hours in the saddle in light to pouring rain.

If you ride in cooler climates or rain, I would certainly recommend this jacket/pants combination.

Go up a size!
Nice 3-4 season Jacket. Has the Adventure look and I like the sand color. Has plenty of pockets and venting. Comes with 2 liners - 1 insulated & 1 waterproof. Materials seem pretty good, but the armor is rather cheep. As for sizing, definetely go up 1 size and if you have a gut maybe 2 sizes. Im 6'2"/225 normally an XL but had to go 2XL in this jacket. Haven't had much saddle time, but it seems pretty good for the price and w/ a 5yr warranty that gives me some piece of mind.

Great jacket with tons of different uses
I looked at jackets in the local CycleGear shop for a while and kept coming back to this one. I loved that it had three layers- outer shell with the pads, middle shell with waterproofing and an inner shell with insulation- and a place for a hydration pack. The jacket looks great, fits comfortably, and has plenty of storage space. It's also fairly warm. I'd call it a 3-season jacket, although I live in Texas, which basically means it's a 4-season jacket for me.

The layers are easy to add/remove from the jacket- just make sure to fasten the sleeves back into the arms near the cuffs or you'll pull them out when you take the jacket off. (I made that mistake once.)

If I had to complain about the jacket, I'd note how little reflective material there is. Small detail strips on the arms, chest, neck and lower back is about the extent of it. I think the jacket could have handled a little more without becoming too ridiculous. Either way, there are certainly ways to add that yourself, or just toss on a vest for low-light riding.

That's just being nitpicky though. This is a great, comfortable jacket that can change to meet your needs. It has plenty of storage, insulated hand pockets, plenty of internal and external storage, and a great look.

Great Package Deal
Got this last week and wore it Saturday for an all day ride. Started out at 45 deg and got up to 65 deg with slight rain. Kept me warm and comfy. Great fit, but pants are a tad smaller than sized. I am a 34 and had to get 36. Took out liner after it got warmer and was just great! Does not restrict movement and looks really nice on my S10 too!

Best all season jacket
I wear this everyday during commute. I've ridden in temps as low as 37 degrees. More often though I use the jacket at temps around 100 degrees in San Antonio summer heat. So far I've used it up to 104 degrees. Above 95deg it does get hot sitting in traffic on the freeway.
The perfect jacket for all-weather use

Not bad at all
The jacket is not bad, and for the price it's even better.
I am getting it for those summer hot days as a second jacket that lets more air in than my Transitoin III.
I had to exchange it because the measuring chart says Medium is up to 42, that seems to be without the liners.
Altough (M) was a little snugg the line of the jacket looks good, the mesh will be gold in the 90+F days, and it even had a compartment in the back for a hydration bladder in addition to all the pockets around.
Protection is average, the elbow and shoulder pads are ok, the back is not, thin and I doubt it do anything but It can be replaced with a CE armor
all in all, I recommend it as a second jacket

Explorer Air Adv jacket
This review is NOT based on actual riding-it's winter here in WI.
The overall quality appears to be very good. I was impressed.
The armor is loose fitting in the pockets and can move around. I suggest the rider use Velcro to hold them in place (for your particular body). It makes a difference.
The jacket is a summer jacket BUT with the 2 zip-in liners, one for water and 1 for insulation it makes for quite a versatile product. If these 2 additions really work well the rating goes to 5.

Great Overall Jacket for Hot Weather
I'm a daily rider and started riding in the humid Florida heat in the summer. Once I get moving, the jacket isn't hot at all. It breathes very well. If there is a chance of rain, make sure to bring the rain liner. It will keep you dry. If you don't and get wet, you will get really cold because the jacket breathes so well. Once out of the rain, the jacket will dry pretty fast.

The elbow and shoulder pads are sufficient for most riding, but the back pad is just a thin piece of foam. You can upgrade the back pad to offer better spine protection.

While some might say the fit is a little too snug, I say it's just perfect. I feel very comfortable at high speeds. Nothing is flapping around, which is something I absolutely hate.

Great for winter
Overall the jacket (and matching pants) are really good in cold and cool weather because of the adjustable vents and pull out layers. Also it is REALLY GREAT for rain. Works like a charm.

My only cons are it is too warm to wear during the spring and summer. Great for winter/fall.

PROS: Well Insulated, Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Weather Resistant

CONS: Too Heavy, Doesn't Breathe
