Layered Shell

The S-R7's shell features a fiberglass outer layer, UD carbon composite layer, carbon-aramid fiber reinforcement layer and a fiberglass reinforcement layer. The fiberglass outer layer provides excellent strength and efficient energy dissipation and the unidirectional carbon composite layer provides radial strength around the shell. Aramid fiber and fiberglass layers bolster the other layers with critical penetration protection.

Sleek Safety

The S-R7's aerodynamic profile is free of any external features that might act as a load point in an impact or compromise the helmet's structural integrity. A recess at the collarbone area significantly reduces risk of collarbone injuries by preventing the shell from coming into contact with the body in a slide.

Fine-Tuned Comfort

Alpinestars patented and unique A-Head fitment system allows for a custom, tailor-made fit inside the S-R7. The A-Head system allows you to adjust both the height and angle at which the helmet sits on your head via a micro-adjustable pad that is connected to the helmet inner EPS liner. 

Plentiful Ventilation

The S-R7's ten total ventilation ports work together to deliver optimal airflow. Six intake ports - three in the chin guard and three adjustable top of head vents - are complemented by four exhaust ports located laterally on the chin bar and the rear of the helmet.
