I know the Common Tread audience isn't usually into the freestyle scene, but I also know our readers are experienced riders who appreciate riding skill. And from the popularity of our videos, I know you appreciate quality production. So consider giving the latest Slayground video seven minutes of your time, even if you're not normally into backflips.
Slayground 3, the latest Monster Energy video featuring Axell Hodges, has been out just a few days and is racking up more than 100,000 views a day. Not surprising, because there's high altitude manuevering to keep even a non-rider thrilled and enough smooth, trials-level motorcycle control to impress the most experienced rider.
I suppose any expert makes his or her craft look easy, but Hodges just looks so smooth flying right through the laws of physics that keep the rest of us grounded. I mean, I can't even imagine how many bones I'd break trying to do a backflip, but Axell effortlessly does a high flying backflip, then he lands in a wheelie and holds that wheelie.
On top of the manuevers, there's the production quality to recommend this video. No mere drones for the Monster Energy crew. They've got a real helicopter with a pilot who probably deserves to have his own video.
