Video: Motorcyclist desperately tries to stop Nice terror attack

Update: Media have identified the scooter rider as Alexander Migues. Contrary to initial news reports, he was not killed in the attack.

This video shot from a balcony shows a rider on a scooter catching the slow-moving truck that plowed into a Bastille Day crowd in Nice, France, killing more than 80. It appears the rider tries to climb onto the cab of the truck to stop the driver but appears to be run over himself or herself. In the news reports I've seen so far, the rider has not yet been identified.

Whatever your beliefs, let's hope they accommodate a very special place in the afterlife for a particularly brave fellow rider.
