Is the Erzberg Rodeo the world's toughest race?
There's a strong case to be made.
In a massive iron quarry in Austria, hundreds of off-road riders challenge impossible terrain, sometimes in heat and choking dust, sometimes in rain and mud, and maybe even in snow. The four-day event that culminates with the Red Bull Hare Scramble. The top 500 riders qualify for the final event. Typically, only 20 or 30 complete the course.
