RevZilla invites you to ride with us in supporting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) through Ride for Kids. From August 12 to September 12, motorcyclists across the country will ride and fundraise to make a difference.
Ride for Kids was founded by motorcyclists Mike and Dianne Traynor who wanted to bring positive change for a child in their neighborhood. As pediatric brain cancer is the deadliest cancer for kids and teens under the age of 15, they weren’t alone in their desire to help. The Ride for Kids grew and the PBTF was formed to better help those in need.
The PBTF has a three-part mission in their support of children and families fighting pediatric brain tumors. First, the PBTF provides a network of care and compassion during diagnosis and treatment, lending a hand wherever possible and connecting affected families to build strong supporting relationships. The foundation also accelerates the search for a cure through their fundraising, which contributed nearly $50 million to pediatric brain tumor research since the organization’s founding. The last part of their mission is to build a thriving, lifelong community for survivors and families who have battled pediatric brain tumors. This is a challenge that no one should face alone, and that’s where riders like you come into the picture.
Join the ride, change lives
From now until September 12, there are several ways you can support the cause as the Ride for Kids celebrates its 30th year of partnership with the PBTF. Join a group or go solo; any ride during that time can help a child in need. Choose one of the 24 group rides, build your own fundraising ride or donate directly. You can also sign up through your REVER app as part of the REVER Million Mile Challenge, in which Comoto will donate 2.5 cents per mile ridden for the cause, up to one million miles. In addition, you can help by shopping at RevZilla, Cycle Gear, J&P Cycles or REVER on September 12. On that day, 10 percent of all purchases will be donated to PBTF.
One person who raises funds for the PBTF will win a new Honda motorcycle or side-by-side.
