There’s nothing better than going for a ride. Well, almost nothing. The only thing better is riding for a good cause. Every ride you take this summer can do just that — as long as you log your miles along the way.
Trips recorded in REVER from July 1 through September 13 will automatically count toward REVER’s Million Mile Challenge, a fundraiser that helps support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s research efforts and family assistance programs. How so, you ask?

This year, Alpinestars is pledging 1.25¢ for every mile recorded during the challenge, with its contribution totalling up to $15,000. It isn’t alone, either. Biltwell will donate up to $5,000 to the cause, with each mile tallied equating to a 0.5¢ pledge. Both Cardo Systems and Pirelli are also pitching in $5,000 each.
"Programs like the Million Mile Challenge help transform passion for riding into meaningful support for families navigating childhood brain tumor diagnoses, while also advancing critical research and care initiatives,” explained PBTF Director of Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Alissa Karas.

Ending on a high note, the final full day of mile logging coincides with Ride for Kids Day, which occurs on September 13 this year. Riders participating in a local Ride for Kids Day group ride and tracking the route in REVER stand to support PBTF in more ways than one.
If you’re looking to go the extra mile, recording rides isn’t the only way to give back. The Million Mile Challenge will also host in-store Bike Meet events at Cycle Gear locations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on September 14. Each meet-up will feature giveaways and games, and 10% of all sales completed on that day will be donated (up to $100,000) to PBTF.
Yes, riding is good, but riding for good is even better.
