Perfect for taller trucks!
If you have a stock or raised 4x4 pickup, chances are you haven't found ramps that work properly. I have a stock height '89 Dodge 4x4, and these work with a minimum of difficulty!
Typically, with other ramps, they either are too steep, or the "fingers" that hold the top of the ramp to the tailgate are raised and scratch the heck out of my fairings when loading or unloading bikes. These ramps solve all those problems!

PROS: Fold to conserve space, Lightweight construction, Work on stock height 4x4s, Longer than most ramps, Will support heavy bikes

CONS: Hard to use side by side, Cannot attach parallel

BEST USES: Loading ATVs, Loading track bikes, Loading Cruisers

Feels flimsy but holds up
Pros: I can load my Aprilia RSV into my stock F350 4x4 by myself while using a 2nd ramp to walk up next to it under the bike's engine power. So loading is a cinch and I don't scratch my lower fairings in my very tall 39"+ bed.

Cons: It feels flimsy under my own body weight like it wants to break at the hinge. It just FEELS flimsy, not that it is because it has been holding up. I've even jumped up and down on the ramp several times to be sure and I weigh 210 lbs.

It also isn't designed to be mounted together in a pair. But a couple of tie downs can fix that.

And it would be nice if it were a full 8 feet long because folded down, it already is pretty short. But I rather have it be an extra inch or two wider if I had to choose. Still scary walking it down the ramp backwards.

It also has a weird humped shape when folded. The ramp is in 2 pieces obviously. The lower half is flat. The upper half has the hump. So when you fold it, the hump is on one side. It makes it difficult to stack two of them on top of each other for storage or anything on top of it for storage.

Still an excellent ramp though. But I deducted one star because I wish it were a full 8 ft long and 12 inches wide. But mainly because it feels like it wants to buckle at the hinge when you stand on it. As long as it holds up though....

PROS: Lightweight, Folds, price, Long, Includes safety strap

CONS: Feels Flimsy, Odd folded shape, Slightly narrow

BEST USES: In pairs, Tall trucks

Exactly what I want
I've always liked the 2x12 treated lumber with ramp tops and bottoms - but they are heavy as heck, and hard to store/transport. I upgraded to folding aluminum ramps with star shaped holes in them for traction several years ago. I thought they were cool because they were arched, lighter than wooden ramps - and easier to store. But the traction holes in them were shredding my street tires - and they were bending (and all of the steel bolts and braces were rusting). These ramps are the first I've ever used with the spaced rungs. I saw them in the store on sale for $80 each and had to pick one up. It was incredibly light. I bought a pair just to have something really easy to load my 6 year old daughter's dirt bike with. I wasn't planning on using them on my street bikes. But I loaded my daughters bike and she asked me to bring my VStrom 1000 to follow her. I ran it up against the ramp just for grins - and it held it well - so I drove it up into the bed. Wow - easier than with my other ramps! I was worried that street tires wouldn't grip them - but they grip really well. My last ramps were rated at 1,000lbs - while these are rated to 750. I think these are stronger - but for something heavier than my 550lb Vstrom 1000 I would get the 18 inch 1,250lb rated ones (I like overkill). I like that these are all welded aluminum rather than bolted together. They are extremely light, they fold easily and are easy to handle - and they don't damage your tires or your hands. I like them MUCH better than the pair I paid over $400 for - so the others went onto craigslist.

PROS: Traction Without Sharp Ed, Good Traction, No Steel Bolts To Rust, Light, Easy On The Tires, Folds Smaller Than Others, Easy To Folduse

Best for a deal
I ordered it online, and it came as it should. I was not aware that in store deals are the same as online... 8 minute drive would have saved me shipping charges.

Very Useful
This ramp is light and folds and stows across the bed of my small truck. The tie-down that comes with it (to secure it to the bumper) gets used on the bike in transport. The ramp and an additional Cycle Gear tie-down set go with me everywhere now!

PROS: Light Stowable

CONS: Need A Bucket To Stand On

Better than it looks
I bought two of these to load my dirt bike into my full size pickup. The folding feature gave me extra length over the non-folding ones for a better angle. The were on sale and I pulled the credit card out.

That was 3 or 4 years ago. They are still hanging in there as good as new. They look a little light weight but they are solid as a rock. You have to tie them down so they don't slip but I use straps to my trailer hitch with no problems.

This is the amazing part, I've loaded much heavier bikes (550# BMW) and the ramps don't flex or twist. The cross bars are ribbed so nothing slips. I use two, one for the bike and one to walk on next to it.

Highly recommended.

PROS: Lasts Under Load, Folds, Light

This. Ramp is great! Really affordable and helps my son and I load and unload our dirt bikes quick so we can get riding! And once they are unloaded the ramp just folds up and can fit in the back seat of so no one can steal it. Great product!
