reviewer should use tool as instructed. Used for removing oil from fork tubes, not adding. The ring is used to set tube to the desired oil level, add oil to fork leg, (pour in and purge air) then suck the oil out until no more comes out. Repeat on other fork leg for equal amounts in each leg.

This syringe type level gauge is pretty easy to use, has very visible numbers on the needle so you can easily set your air gap with no mess. I definitely recommencement using one of these because it saves you so much time and effort in getting correct and consistent measurements!

Set CC's on rod and remove or add fluid. The syringe is a 1X use which is stated right on the package. So all those folks that complain about the syringe just can't read. Now depending on the weight of oil you my require a spouse or friends hands to help, but if that is and issue you could spend $175 or so on the professional mechanics model. I love this tool I just make sure my wife or friends are there in case I need help.

Makes fork rebuilds easy to accomplish by yourself. The rod comes with etched markings for various levels so there is no need to measure. Just set the stop block and go!

Better than I had bargained for and with 3 bikes due for fluid changes this will make it that much simpler for me!

I AM LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE I KNOW THAT GUESS OR WING IT ON FORK OL AMOUNT. I FOUND ON THIS LAST FORK OIL CHANGE ON MY KLX300 THAT I WAS ABOUT 2OZ LOW PER FORK. WHAT A DIFFERENCE GETTING IT JUST RIGHT MADE IN MY FORK ACTION.

Great tool. Most forks require a specific fork oil height without the spring or cartridge inserted. It was always difficult to measure this exactly and would often result in pouring some back out to get it right. This allowed me to not overfill the fluid and if I did I could suction it back out to the proper level as indicated on the mm measuring gauge on the side of the metal reinforced tube that is inserted into the fork. The additional piece that comes with it allows you to set your desired height without any variance. If you are rebuilding your forks or replacing your seals, this is an absolute must have.
