Awesome bike lock
I use this for my bicycle, lock to 2 bikes on bike rack and wraps nicely to seat post.
To set alarm, hold button in before closing, will chirp that it is set, then chirps again that it is armed, if movement is detected it will chirp, if moved again alarm will sound for about 30 seconds then it reset itself. Or don't press button while locking it, alarm is in disable mode. Thick chain and not overly heavy, We'll worth the security to own, I am thinking of getting another one when it goes on sale to make it longer

PROS: Security, Peace of mind

CONS: Could be longer, Could Be A Foot Or Two Lo

BEST USES: Motorcycle, Bicycle

Great lock
This is a great lock. I think a thief really has to be very dedicated to cut the chain in this lock. I am using it in combination with an also armed disc lock.
A problem is, that there is no manual whatsoever. And it is also far from being self explaining. Also the access to the batteries isn't nearly as easy than one would believe: first open the lock. Then push the battery compartment cover and pull/push the blue plastic cover as a whole. Now, open the compartment door. Next, use a philips screw driver to remove the screws from the inner door. Pull/push the blue cover into the other direction. Now pull up the inner door. And Voilà! There is the access to the batteries. Kinda like a puzzle box. How to arm/disarm the lock was already described by an earlier reviewer. Maybe Stockton could make it possbíble to print an instruction at the inner side of the cardboard sleeve?

PROS: Loud alarm, Sensitive, Very sturdy

CONS: No manual

Nice lock, No instructions
Use this to lock motorcycles together and onto a carrier. Works well, chain could be a foot longer. I've hard a hard time getting this disarmed. No trouble arming it but getting it off without setting off the alarm is difficult.

PROS: Heavy chain

CONS: Chain could be longer, No Operating Guide

Stockton Alarmed Security Chain
I bought this to use on a bicycle after having thieves easily slice through a 20mm cable to steal a nice road bike. This chain looks much more secure (although I'm sure the bad guys have ways to cut or defeat this one also). But I expect that the chain will require more time and along with the noise of the alarm, may deter them.

Biggest negative is that there is no documentation with the lock regarding how to arm/disarm the device. Sales person said that the info was on-line but can't even find a web site for Stockton Tools. Apparently Cycle Gear has a deal with Stockton Tools and handles all the on-line support, but the Cycle Gear on-line tech didn't have any info or help.

Oh well, I'll give it to a ten-year old and let them figure it out in less than 2 minutes.

PROS: Heavy duty materials, Audible Alarm Is Nice

CONS: No Instructions For Alarm, No On-line Support

This product didnt come with any instructions so its a hit and miss on knowing if the alarm is armed while im locking up the bike, seems to me that the same chain without the alarm would be just fine for the money.

PROS: prevents scratches, Cloth Covered Chain

CONS: No instructions
