SpeedMetal Wheel Stand - Ultra Durable
There is nothing worse than spending $15,000 on a good quality sport touring bike and then skimping on a cheap wheel stand. I've seen others use a cheap wheel stand, and all they do is put your bike at risk of falling, while at the same time, carving deep gouges in the fork's aluminum. I just bought this one on sale, and for the money, this is a good value. What's more, the product is very rugged and highly stable. While working on the bike, I never once feared the bike was going to tip. It just felt right. After putting the bike up on its center stand, the front wheel lifted with ease. There was no shimmy or wobble. The plastic pads protected the bikes front forks and didn't scuff them one bit.

I would highly recommend this product, and in fact, sent my buddy a photo the moment the bike lifted off of the ground. My buddy is a mechanic for the airlines, and even he thought the quality was great.

PROS: Very stable, Easy to use, Very rugged, High Quality, Good Value

CONS: Lacks Adjustability

Works great with Ducati Monster and Honda Goldwing. Seems to lift high enough to remove wheel but haven't tried. Harder to lift Monster (lighter bike) than Goldwing. Goldwing has a center stand balancing the bike better. Monster uses a rear stand. Due to short throw of the Speed Metal stand, leverage is not in your favor but I wanted a shorter stand to use in confined spaces and carrying to the track saving space in the truck. Feet seem to fit Goldwing forks perfect and Monster fine (due to radial brake bracket). Just need to pay attention more when setting on forks with radial brakes. Both bikes have ABS and sensor is not located on end of fork tubes so no issues there. Feet worry me as they are plastic instead of rubber but forks don't seem to slip or slide due to the lip at the back.

PROS: Multi-bike Use, Small Foot Print, Bang for buck, Light Weight

CONS: plastic foot, Not adjustable

BEST USES: Find Valve For Airing, Level Bike On Rear Stand, Clean Wheel

Nice Front Stand
Put off purchase due to description's admonition, "Must be used with rear stand." Seems to work fine with my FJR's center stand, allowed removal of front wheel. If the rubber pads were 1/8" or1/4" farther apart the wheel would have come off a bit easier. Something to pay more attention to next time, maybe I can spread the stand a fraction. Can't say this one is better than those of tube construction but when it's on sale the price is close.
