FreeWire for Harley
I purchased this Bluetooth transmitter with the primary intention of sharing my music. Tried several times to set it up and did not work. Called Cycle gear for help and the person that offered to help told me he did not know much about it and recommended I contact Sena directly. Upon contacting Sena I was told that the freewire does not support music sharing, that I have to link to a bluetooth device like my iPhone in order to share music. This tells me that the freewire is not a bluetooth transmitter as advertised. It would have been better for me to spend the money spent on the freewire to upgrade to a bluetooth stereo system for my 2007 Electra Glide. Before I purchased the freewire I was connecting my Sena 20s via 7-din cable to my Harley's sound system and I was getting awesome sound quality. The sound that I get from the freewire is flat. And yes, I have downloaded the latest updates for the freewire and my Sena 20s. If Sena created the freewire to free us from being wire connected, they should have come up with a system that will deliver equal or better sound quality and be compatible with music sharing. If I have to use my iPhone in order to be able to share music, then there is no need for the freewire. I hope an update is on the way to fix this soon.
