Simple and Durable
Bilt made this bag tough enough to handle daily abuse on my rides to work/school. Since the bag is attached via nylon straps with plastic clips I'd recommend a tank guard to avoid scratches (bottom clip seems to be the only issue). If buying from a store, note that you will need to remove your seat to secure the lower strap.

Size is perfect for taking lunch with you or keeping essentials you might need on your ride (toll road tokens/extra gloves). At most, you can fill the inside of the bag with the equivalent of 5 qts Oil + 2 Filters.

The clear top pocket is great for maps, but a GPS will definitely slide around if you don't fill the entire bag first.

Great functionality and value. There are certainly better looking bags with more features but expect to spend significantly more money.

PROS: Clear Top Pocket, Small Mesh Pocket Inside, Water Resistant Materials, Built in handle, Solid Construction

CONS: Looks

BEST USES: Day trips, Replacement Lunch Bag

Meets my expectations
I wanted a relatively small, non-magnetic mount tank bag for my 2011 Suzuki DL650 V-Strom. This met my expectations. Price is right, size adequate and has the map pocket I wanted. I don't intend on using it for around the world expeditions but do expect a few overnight rides. Perfect size for my "easy to reach" items I want to carry.

suprisingly roomy
I was looking for a quality tail bag, this works great!
With the addition of bungy buttons and a spider net on my Volusia/Boulevard, it works perfect and is rock solid at speed.

PROS: Solid Construction, Stylish

CONS: none

Basic "Tail" Bag
I got this bag to use as a tail bag on my CBR500R and it fits great, I ran the front straps under the seat for a cleaner look and used the single strap wrapped around the grab handles to secure it to my rear seat. It's got loads of space I can fit my running shoes a shirt, shorts, a small towel and some toiletries with room to spare. I already have a tank bag so I really didn't need another "tank" bag but this fits the bill as a tail bag on my bike.

very usefull
I use this product to transport clothes, important papers, water, snacks when I'm going to be out for long periods of time. It's not to big but just big enough to take along some extra gear. It's not easy to install on a YAMAHA R1, took it to the dealer and they had a hard time.

PROS: Stores Just About Anythin

CONS: Not easy to install

Don't count on it.
Bag tore where the upper strap is sewn. Cycle Gear replaced it and the new one tore after the FIRST use. Now I bungee it to one of my saddle bags as overflow storage for quick access. Bag itself seems decent but don't buy if you need to rely on the straps. (Be sure to check in the bag that the straps are there. Less than half in the store had the straps inside.)

CONS: Bag Tore At Seam

I've bought 2 of these bags and would buy one again!
I had one on my XS650 for 5 years. Wore it out. I carried extra tools, fuses and clothes. Map case can carry paper maps and small books. Never glared up or yellowed on me. Seems theres always room for "one more thing". Yes, the straps can scratch your paint. I left it on my tank for 5 years and it weathered well in the AZ sun and rain. It is NOT rainproof but a plastic bag from the store will work. I did have some punk steal one while I was away from the bike. 2-3 seconds and it's off. I'll take most of that fault. Great Tank Bags.I'll be buying a third bag soon.

PROS: Easy On And Off, Easy To Use Map Case, Carries A Lot Of Stuff

CONS: Easy To Steal Too

BEST USES: Day Trips, Carry Extra Tools
