Not sure how to choose the best ATV battery for your needs? Here are some key factors to consider before you buy one of our ATV batteries for sale. First, what is your budget? The two top options are AGM and lithium batteries. AGM ATV batteries are more affordable, but they are heavier and can only be discharged to 50% before they need a recharge. Lithium is the superior option, as they are lightweight and can be discharged to 100%. Of course this superior performance comes with a trade off; lithium batteries are more expensive than AGM varieties. You also can't run lithium batteries in cold weather conditions unless they are specifically rated for that application. However, you will get a solid lifespan of up to 10 years out of lithium versus 4 to 5 with AGM. Finally, there is a third option in the older conventional 12-volt lead acid ATV battery if you're on a tight budget. You will experience low power capacity and a short lifespan, but these small ATV batteries will get the job done if you just want to run the vehicle for casual use and nothing else. Remember, if you plan to run a lot of accessories off your quad, side by side, ATV or UTV batteries, then an AGM or lithium battery is a must over a conventional lead acid model.
Speaking of battery capacity, you can measure the ability of ATV batteries to run accessories like stereos, speakers and the like by looking at its amp hours (Ah) rating. The higher the Ah, the more amperage per hour a battery can produce. Finally, don't overlook CCA (cold cranking amps), especially if you operate your vehicle in cold weather. CCA indicates how many amps the battery cranks at 0°F. You certainly don't want your ATV battery throwing in the towel when a blizzard hits!Shop By Fitment
