Great Helmet if You Don't Care About Having a Name Brand
I was really skeptical about purchasing one of these off brand helmets. This helmet is replacing an HJC Symax-3 (which is a piece of junk). I'm basically a weekend warrior rider, ride a cruiser, and ride in the upright position. If you're like me and could care less about who makes your helmet, these helmets are a great buy. I want a helmet thats light, comfortable, and don't rag doll your head at high speeds.

These helmets are light, VERY comfortable, have good visibility, and don't shake your head at high speeds if riding in the upright position. The face mechanism latches solid, and the plastic face shield seals well to the helmet. Remember that all modular helmets are pretty loud due to the gap between the face guard and the helmet shell. I always wear ear plugs so the noise isn't a problem to me.

If you don't want to spend half a mortgage payment on a helmet, don't care about having a name brand helmet, and want the helmet to have the items discussed above, these helmets are a great buy. Also, if you're a veteran, let the sales staff know and they'll give you a hefty discount.

Looks great, terrible quality
I don’t usually write reviews but I feel like I need to share my experience with this helmet. I’ve been riding daily except for bad weather for 8 years now. I also do 2 -3 long road trips a year. This is the worst helmet I’ve owned. I thought I was upgrading, especially with this price tag but I was very wrong.

Upside: It looks really cool and it’s much lighter than my last helmet.

Downside: Construction and quality is terrible. The visor has become incredibly difficult to open after a few months of use. I have to use both hands to open it; one to hold the chin down and the second to start opening the visor. Then I use both hands to open it the rest of the way otherwise it starts to twist. Closing the modular front piece has also become incredibly difficult which also requires both hands to close. Wind noise is very loud. If there’s a cross wind, it blows in between the modular piece and the helmet. When it rains, my face gets wet! Bah! The flip down sunshade has always been warped so it makes me dizzy when it’s down. Lastly, the under-chin wind screen is starting to fall apart. I’ve had the helmet for just over 6 months.

This helmet saved my life!
I had this helmet for a year. It fit well, was comfortable on long rides, had a good sun shade, and had good visibility. The air flow was not great. I could not tell much difference between open and closed ports. The XL size was a bit snug despite the size chart placing me between a L and an XL. The antifog windshield would fog all the time at low speeds. I would typically ride with the visor partially open unless I was on the highway. It was noisy even when closed, but not as much as the Bilt helmet I had before.

A few weeks ago I had a mishap on a wet rural highway at 65mph. I dropped the bike and tumbled and slid to a stop on the paved shoulder. I survived with only road rash and a bruised lung. The helmet was scarred on 3 sides. No neck pain, no broken bones, no concussion. This helmet saved my life. Is it perfect? No. Does it do what you need it to do? Absolutely!

It could be so much better...
I ride everyday and wanted to move into a modular helmet. This helmet was recommended by my local CG salesperson (she was awesome, BTW - her review would be 5 stars - very helpful and patient with me). She showed me all of the features of this helmet and I bought it.

I've lived with this helmet since May, 2018 and here is my review.

What is good:
- Awesome field of view
- Integrated sun shield is a great feature
- Venting is decent
- Doesn't fog up (not sure if the visor is treated)
- Not as heavy as other modular helmets I've tried
- Price is great for the features
- Of course, the looks

What is bad:
- Build quality totally sucks
- The visor ratchet is - well, it is absolutely the worst visor I've ever used - it has only gotten worse
- The locking mechanism for the modular chin bar is awful - have to close the chin bar 2 and 3 times to securely latch it
- The button mechanism for the chin bar release is the polar opposite of smooth
- The chin bar seal (bottom) has torn after only 1 month
- The "wire" that secures the internal pads is now exposed at the bottom of the helmet (this is more of an aesthetic issue than a safety concern)

If the manufacturer were to address the visor ratchet and the chin bar problems, I could probably get past the other issues.

In short, I was hoping to get 2-3 years out of this helmet, but after only a month, I believe that a replacement might be coming sooner.

Is this the same helmet as the sistema? Or does the carbon make it lighter than the regular sistema?
A shopper on Sep 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I recently purchased the Sistema Fintura, which is a typical helmet with regards to weight. If this has carbon elements to it then technically it should be lighter in weight than an average helmet. Anything Carbon typically has higher strength properties and weighs a fraction of any comparison material.
How to use adjustable fit mentioned via 5mm cloth?
