Nearly perfect !
I recently purchased the Sonic 2.0 jacket after price watching for about a year.I have three other jackets including leather which have all fallen to the back of my closet. The first thing you will like is the all black sporty look. The leather has a broken in feel to it off the rack and fit like a glove from the moment I rode off wearing it.No discomfort or adjustment time at all.The forearm tension straps were an added bonus for me being a person with large muscular forearms. The fit from the wrist to elbow is snug yet supple enough to offer superb sportbike comfort and protection.Another great comfort and style que is the short lenth effect the Sonic offers at the waistline.Larger riders often sacrifice lenth for chest and shoulder fit.No need here.Even with an XL which gives me plenty of shoulder fit,the waist fell right at the belt line as opposed to my hip like so many other larger size jackets. At just under [$] the Sonic can be classified as a "hell of a deal" as an everyday favorite sport jacket that offers unquestionable fit and finish, protection and a masculine/sporty style the ladies will surely appreciate. If nothing else you'll "look" like you're one heck of a rider sitting in those parking lots .Kudos to JR....$neak$

PROS: Broken in feel, Cool on hot days, Great style, Snugcomfy fit, Right price

CONS: Needs larger zipper tabs, Justifiying buying two

Great overall jacket
This is my only leather jacket right now. I use it rain or shine, and I ride just about everyday. It's a great overall jacket, but one thing that could have been improved was the venting option. The way the vents work with this jacket is that you must take the jacket off and unzip the panels that extend from the cuff to the waist. It would have been nice to have some on-the-go zipper vents. The other thing being the vest liner. It would have been better if it came with a full sleeved liner for those really cold night rides, but Joe Rocket does offer a sleeved liner; it just wont secure itself to this jacket. They also used Velcro for the waist straps, which in time will wear out. The armor is also just the standard dual density foam type, but since it's removable upgrading is no problem.

As for the upgradeable vest I mentioned, this is another Joe Rocket accessory, but I mentioned it because it zips right in place of the stock vest liner that comes with the jacket.

As I said earlier, this is a great overall jacket, not great in any particular area, but a great everyday jacket that serves its purpose and keeps you cool on those hot days, (providing you removed the panels first before riding). Oh, I have ridden with this jacket in 90 degree+ weather, and was still comfortable, so it's definitely a great choice if your looking for a hot weather jacket that still provides excellent leather coverage for your body.

PROS: Huge mesh vents, No obnoxiously large logo, Fore arm strap, Snap button on cuffs, Upgradeable fleece vest, 2 snap buttons on collar, Removable armor

CONS: No on-the-go zipper vents, Dual density foam armor, Velcro on waist straps, Has vest liner vs full

BEST USES: Commute riding, Leisure riding, Mild to hot temp riding

This is the one - with one minor issue....
I have long been looking for a TALL jacket. I am 6'5" and most of my height is in my torso... EVERY jacket I have ever purchased online ends up looking like my little brothers... While this is a protective jacket with armor in all the right places, it is heavy. I suppose it will losen up over time but my main concern was that it was long enough. It is 93 degrees today and I am wearing it and it is perfectly comfortable.

Like I said earlier, I have only one issue with it. It has zipper vents that go from the cuff to the pit and down to the waist. These provide EXCELLENT ventilation. My only issue is that the zippers are too small to use with gloves on... I have remedied this by attaching a small carabiner on them I just hope they don't break.

PROS: Stylish, Well Insulated, Comfortable, Abrasion Resistant

CONS: Too Heavy

BEST USES: Warm Weather, Safety, Long Rides, Casual Wear
