Great Jacket!
I bought this jacket from another online store almost four years ago. I look forward to the cooler and colder days when I can wear it for the warm and cozy feeling of it. Sometimes on the really cold mornings I wish the heated parts of the front of the liner were a little larger because the cold air does tend to flow through the material layers and there can be a very slight chill where they don't cover. The sleeves are fully heated and there is a huge heated section on the back of the liner underneath the very protective back armour. The neck of the liner is also heated.

This jacket is supposed to be a three season jacket but I don't wear it if the temp is above the mid 60's. The liner is removable but it's very hard to reinstall so I just leave it in. Also, when I take the jacket off I have to reach two fingers inside of the sleeve to grab the elastic cuff end of the liner before I pull an arm out. It can be hard to put my arm back into the jacket if I don't. If my arms get sweaty, it can be hard to pull them out so that the liner sleeves remain neatly in the jacket sleeves.

As far as the jacket shell is concerned, there are huge reflective stripes printed on the sleeves and the back which I have no doubt improve my visibility at night. The reflective triangles on the front are also for visibility. The shell is weather resistant but not waterproof. It's best to wear a raincoat over it to avoid getting soaked through. Gerbing recommends periodic treatment with a waterproofing solution and only spot cleaning the shell and liner -- don't wash it or the liner. There are weather proof zippers on the shell and as the picture shows the flaps for the hand pockets fold forward and have a patch of velcro at the bottom of the flap to help hold them closed.

The sleeves of the shell have very strong elbow armor and although the picture doesn't show it, the cuffs have elasticized cuff extensions with thumb holes that can be tucked into the shell sleeves if you choose not to use them. The cuffs themselves have the usual fold over and velcro closure found on many winter jackets. There are zippered closures on the sleeves for the wires that come out of the liner sleeves for heated gloves.

The jacket doesn't have it's own controller so it's best to also buy a dual controller because there's a separate hook up for heated gloves. I found that I have had to use separate temp settings for the gloves and jacket. I have been using the wireless dual controller with the remote attached to the left brake master cylinder so I can change the temp on the fly if I have to. The wireless dual controller has been a much better setup over the wired unit I originally had. I keep the receiver in the pocket of the liner that the wires to power the jacket are stored.
