warm and versatile base layer
Living in the Chicago area, wearing the right layers is key to comfortably riding as early and as late as possible in the season. This base layer is warm enough that I did not need to use my heated gear, and it breathes well enough that I don't worry about sweat damp causing chills. My favorite part is the neck closure - good thought and design went I to it - not too bulky, covered zipper closure and not too high in the neck so there is no interference with the helmet. I also like the look of the jacket and that it is casual and can be worn without my riding coat when I reach my destination and want to walk around. It is my go to - first choice for warmth travel item.

Best bang for your buck
This zip up is a great base layer for Wisconsin fall rides. Very fitted, but not too tight. I have a sport bike with almost no windscreen, blocks wind excellently. Wear a t shirt underneath and a riding jacket over. I recommend Freeze Out products to everyone. For the cost, it doesn't get any better. Very good quality, lots of small details that provide an excellent finish.

I wore mine for the 1st time today... left the house on my SPYD3R at 33F degrees... kept me nice and cozy... one issue with this: THE ZIPPER CLASP IS ON THE WRONG SIDE... WHA'SUP'WIT'DAT...????
other than that, it's a great item for cold riding...

Great jacket
This jacket makes me look good, at least that's what my wife said!! It is great for temperatures in the 40's and 50's. I rode with it the other day, under my riding jacket. Temps were in the low 50's and I was very comfortable. Might use it for skiing too!

PROS: Fits Well, Slenderizing

CONS: don't have any

BEST USES: As a regular jacket, Under layer

Ladies Version
This has a very nice, curvy fit. Not bulky under the jacket. Very lightweight. I love the versatility of the zip out sleeves. Makes it a great packing option for long trips with limited luggage. I will also use for all my outdoor activities.

Great Product for an excellent price.
My husband and I each bought one piece - to try it out. I bought this - even though it's the men's version, so that we could both wear it. I found it extremely warm - so much so I probably could have worn just this and not my leather jacket on 1 January when we went for our ride. It was in the 40's at the time, and I'm very "cold natured" and yet I was extremely warm. We purchased this in the store, rather than online, mostly so we could make sure the pieces (one pant, and one jacket) would fit each of us and it does. I'd recommend this product to anyone who doesn't like the cold, but doesn't want to stop riding in the winter! It's awesome.

Great Product
This product is great. Does exactly what it is suppose to. I got it on sale and it was well worth even the full price as opposed to the alternative of freezing while I ride. The removable sleeves are a nice feature as this allows for more adaptability especially when combined with my textile jacket that has a removable wind resistant inner lining.

Love this product. .
This product works great, 75 mph on the freeway at 55 degs, super warm and I just had the jacket on. Love this product, I also have the undershirt, long johns, socks, baklava and face mask. The face mask is a tad tight, so I have to do a little engineering to make it comfortable. Other then that great product.

CONS: Difficult To Use, Zipper Is On The Left

Good casual wear also
In temps 60 degrees or under, wind chill factors are 20 degrees less or colder at road speeds, so a thermal base layer under the Gilet helps additionally. I wear a good leather jacket over the Gilet and a thermal base long john top and bottom, for long or local rides.

Keeps the Cold Out!
This is an incredibly great base jacket. I'm usually riding around with my vest, but some mornings and most nights, the air can be a bit chilly. I wear this gilet under my vest and I do not feel the cold air. What's great about this gilet is that you can use it by itself as a casual jacket. It even has removable sleeves so it can convert into a vest. I happened to purchase this gilet when it was on sale, and I've got to say that it's one of the best purchases I've made.
