Quality Jacket, Value priced
I purchased this jacket in March but haven't had a chance to use it until August when the tempertures dipped into the 40's here in Virginia. When I recieved the jacket in the mail I tried it on with the liner and without. It was comfortable each way so I know it will work until the snow flies. However, when I finally used the jacket, I realized the zipper was on the left side on the garment, which typically indicates its for a female, from what I've been told. It is very difficult to zip if you aren't accustomed to zipping that way. The description makes no mention of the reverse zipper. It is such an inconvienience but the jacket is really nice and I got it for a good price. I intend to have the zipper replaced.

PROS: Weather Resistant, Stylish, Well Insulated

Nice jacket. Hot, though.
I bought this jacket along with a pair of waterproof pants (also by BiLT) and have tried both out in the rain. Waterproofness is great. Breatheability is horrible. Even with the vents in the arms of the jacket, you'll easily burn up with the jacket zipped up. Feels OK in the rain, though.

Fit is good. Comfort is good. Price is right. (on sale for 50% off)

As an every-day jacket, I'd say if you have a fully dressed touring bike with ample wind protection up front, you may want to find a jacket that breathes a bit better than this one. Without the wind protection on your bike, you may be OK with this jacket as an every-day jacket.

Great jacket for the price!
This is a great jacket for Spring/Summer/Fall riding. I haven't tested the water resistance yet, so I can't comment on winter use. My only complaint is that the only inside pocket is part of the removable liner, so you won't have an internal pocket when it is removed.

PROS: Well Insulated, Lightweight, Stylish, Weather Resistant, Comfortable, Vented

CONS: No Inside Pockets, Slightly Short

BEST USES: Warm Weather, Long Rides, Great Mild Weather Jacket, Casual Wear, Safety

Really Good Jacket
Bought in store, Really good jacket for the price. It has a removable liner that seams pretty insulating, and hopefully will do temps in the mid-high 30's. It also does really good in the already TEXAS HEAT it is 3-21-14 and it was 86* today and had one of the vents in the back opened and I was feeling good, hopefully I will be feeling good in this when its a 105* too. It also has vents on the inner upper arm on each side on the sleeves which open about 3 1/2-4 inches each, I had these opened doing around 75 mph and it felt like I was going to get pulled off the back of the bike because of the air flow that goes in, cant find its way out the 10 inch rear vent, therefor you get a parachute effect, that for me was so much that I had to pull off the road to zip them back up and just left the back vent opened. But still its a very good jacket, It has two pockets up front like any other jacket, but has a phone pocket built in to the removable liner ONLY, which sucks a bit, but who cares its too small for my Galaxy s4 any way. The jacket also has a back protector, shoulder pads, and elbow pads(all removable for cleaning of the jacket) that are nice and wide for optimal protection. Overall a very good jacket.

is this good for winter weather like around 40 degrees?
A C on Sep 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I assume you mean 40F.
I was using it riding at around 30F, but I ended up putting another windbreaker on. I commute an hour each way, it's fine for short distances, I found it more comfortable to put another layer on.
