Can't Fit Over Foot
I ordered the boots a full size larger than my normal walking/dress shoes and couldn't even get the boots past my heel. It's clear that the boot sole is big enough, but the ankle section of the boot is so tight I can't even try them on. To make things worse, Cycle Gear is forcing me to pay for shipping back. I wish I never found Cycle Gear's website. I'm spending money to get them and more money to send them back. That's a bad deal. Never Again!

On a budget? Why not.
So these were the first pair of riding boots I got, the outside sole has been very durable and very hard leather, the buckles are a nice touch, but I'd do without them as they can get caught when going down.

They have aged wonderfully and are still function-able after a year and a half of daily use and abuse.

They will prevent abrasion damage if you go down.

IF THEY STAY ON that is. As easily as one can slip on this boot it can come off at time of a crash. The molded heel cup is nice, but allows your ankle to still torque in a direction. But that's also what makes it comfortable enough to wear all day long at the office, or at the shop.

You sacrifice protection for comfort, and for a lot of people that's good enough, but not anymore for me.

CONCLUSION:

As a beginner boot, awesome, and if you get them on clearance they are a s-t-e-a-l! But if you know what a good boot offers you in protection and do serious multi-day riding/highway commuting I'd probably go for something else.

They do look good though.
