I bought this helmet after previously owning an HJC and I have to say I LOVE this helmet. I added a tinted / mirrored shield at the time of purchase and its perfect for day and night riding. the drop down visor sits a little high but with helmet adjustment it works great. Noise level is acceptable, I can hear everyting around me as necessary and wind noise is not too bad at all. Air flow is easily controlled with vents and this helmet moves air well. Nicely styled aerodynamic helmet.
PROS: stylish, Good air flow, Nice fit, Great price
Needed a new lid for this season. The helmet is a good looking, well built piece. I didn't even realize it had the drop down sun shades until after I got it home, hey, I'm an old guy, and don't even look for stuff like that. That said, its the noisiest helmet I've ever had. I don't understand why, it's got the chin flap and all to keep wind noise out, but this thing is just plain loud. I need to find something to reduce the wind noise. Other than that, hey, come on, its a great bargain!
I have about a hundred miles riding with this helmet and here are my observations after wearing this helmet. First off it is a pretty nice looking helmet with it's Americana graphics and the sharp edges and the little spoiler on the back, is it as polished and refines as my Shoei helmet, no but at a cost that is 5 x less I wouldn't expect it to be. Fit, I ordered the same size as my Shoei and went to the local Cycle Gear store and tried on one of their's and the fit is snug but not tight and overall comfortable, the visibility seemed a bit narrow when looking down compared to my Shoei and I have to tilt my hands down when putting on my gloves to see what I'm doing, not a deal breaker and once you get used to it you don't even notice. Features I like the flip down sun shade and the operation is simple enough and it locks up and down with authority, I also like that there are optional colors and shades for the main visor I went with a light grey since I ride in the early morning and late afternoon so it's not too dark and later in the day I can just flip down the other shield when it gets too bright. Weight, this helmet is light than my old HJC but heavier than my Shoei, it's not tiring so you can ride for extended times with out your neck getting tired. Aerodynamics, this helmet tracks very straight as long as you keep looking straight but as soon as you turn left or right you will immediately feel some turbulence and the helmet wants to push your head back to straight ahead. Ventilation, this is where this helmet falls short I can feel only a minimal amount of air flow across my head and in my face and this helmet fogs up like crazy unless you are at highway speeds or you crack the visor, but as soon as you crack the visor you are treated to an annoying whistle. I think they would have been better served if they had increased the size of the top vents or increased the number of them. The ventilation issue isn't a deal killer and I would buy another one, and I guess I am spoiled from my HJC and Shoei's ventilation design, but once again those are priced much higher. Like I said for the price this is a very nice helmet that i would recommend for those on a budget or like me looking for a secondary helmet.
The helmet fits well, liner is not quite as soft as I would like, but reasonably soft. My only real complaint is that it is a bit louder than some other helmets. Some people complained about the drop down tinted visor being to low, my question is did they buy the right size helmet? Cuz mine is perfect. Overall great purchase.

Two things got my attention to purchase this helmet. #1 was red, white, blue with stars graphics. #2 was the inner sun shield. Price was more than fair for the quality and performance. Fit was nice and snug with no hot spots after wearing for couple of hours. Only minor buffeting while at highway speeds. Expect that was from my riding height and windshield height. Crosswinds were no issue. This was my first ever full face helmet purchase. Was a little concerned but could not go wrong with the price and help from the Cycle Gear employees. If it ever needs replacement will have this one on top of my shopping list.
This is my everyday helmet. I really can't say too much about the noise because I have a super-loud pipe, so I wear ear plugs and a head sock anyway. I feel no restrictions when wearing this helmet. With the head sock it is just right, and I'm bald so anyone with hair should be alright with the cushion. I attached a Hero Sessions5 on the front, and the airflow was not obstructed. I never feel stuffed or hot in this helmet even with a head sock. Somebody tried to tell me that BiLT was not a good brand and tried to have me switch over to the pricy foo-foo named helmets, but when I tried his, it really wasn't a difference as far as comfort. My hat size is a 7 1/8, and with a head sock this helmet is snug. Hope this helps someone out. Ride safe.
This helmet is very nice for the price. I have an ARAI helmet because it saved my life in 1994. Was so happy about the internal sunshield but it just doesn't come down far enough, almost a bi-focul effect not good while riding so I don't use it bummer. Anyway the shape and look is great.
