Bilt to function, Bilt to offer exceptional value for money and Bilt to last, the sock collection from Bilt incorporates a range of materials to provide comfort, flexibility and durability. CoolMax performance fabric is an effective fiber-based moisture management system. The system can move perspiration away from the body, and through the fabric, where it can evaporate quickly, allowing the wearer to feel cooler and more comfortable. Spandex fibers allow increased flexibility with multi-directional stretch around and along the sock.
They work ok for me. In florida sometimes wear light weight pants so thesebare good under them. Inalso use them in cooler weather. Also use them for bicycling in cooler weather. They stay up for me which surprised me
This is just a thin sock. They do not perform well in heat and do not wick moisture at all. Did a 2 hour, 100+ mile ride in 75° weather with these socks and my feet were wet and pruned. Did the same exact ride the next day in the same gear and weather conditions but wore plain cotton gym socks and my feet were dry. The Bilt socks don't offer any extra support or benefit.
I bought these 'performance' socks on closeout for $2.49 (75% off) and got free shipping because they were a part of a larger order. Cycle Gear shipped them separately from the rest of my order. It probably costed them abut $8 to ship. I'm pretty sure that my motorcycle now has 10+ more horsepower, and gets approx 20% better fuel economy. They've already paid for themselves. They are a little snug in the calf, but fit well with my tall boots. They are designed to breath but are not very thick in order to allow that to happen, so they don't provide a lot of cushion.
