Protected me
I just crashed my bike and these pants saved my legs. I was riding on a dark road when a dog ran in front of me. I hit my breaks and before I knew it I was sliding and tumbling in the road and gravel of the shoulder. I only got some rug burn on my left knee and shin, but no road rash. The Kevelar did its job. I was also wearing a Street & Steeal denim jacket I just bought which saved my upper body from road rash. These pants work! I bought them because they look nice dressed up and they have protection for riding. I wore them for 11 hours at work without discomfort and without anyone noticing. I was amazed at how these khakis did not stain when I was kneeling ionto a dirty floor. My other khakis stain if I look at dirt. I highly recommend these pants and I will buy a replacement pair. Please wear your gear; it saved my life.

Protection and wearable while not riding
These pants are my choice when taking the cycle to the train station then spending a few hours in choir rehearsal. They seem like a good dual-purpose item for reasonable protection while riding with reasonable style and comfort while doing something else.

I have no way to evaluate the protection, so I'm trusting Bilt's design and testing. I think that there are different test results for different styles of the Iron Worker pants, and it would be helpful to know those results.

No back zipper to connect to a jacket.

I have 4 different styles of Bilt pants, and I noticed pockets that appear to be designed for hip armor. I would like to see a catalog entry offering the hip armor.

Chino Motorcycle Pants
I looked for non-motorcycle looking pants for a bit and these did the trick just fine. They’re a bit snug for my taste at 34 but that problem lies with me and not the pants. They feel sturdy but yet would pass for “normal” pants with a quick glance. Overall the price seems great, the quality is acceptable and the style checks all the boxes. For reference I ride a Buell 1125CR with the clubman bars and these felt great.

Badass Chino's
Great looking and well made chino's with protection. I can wear to the office when I ride to work and look like slacks or dickeys.

Good commuter option
These pants are a great affordable option for those of us who want to commute into an office on a motorcycle. The pants are warm (Kevlar lining tends to do that), so it might not be the most comfortable option on a particularly hot day. Assuming it isn't blazing hot out, the pants work well on the bike and in the office. I live in Florida and can commute in them comfortably despite the heat.

My only real complaint is that the knee pads don't line up well for me and their position isn't adjustable. I had to remove the pads because they basically just sat on my thighs just above the knee rather than in the proper position in front of my knee. They lined up properly while standing, but when I was seated with knees bent the pads became worthless. If you're looking for slide protection in a pair of pants that you can wear all day at the office and you don't feel that you need functional knee pads, then these pants fit the bill. I'd rather have pants that will protect me in a slide than the slacks I would be wearing to work otherwise (even without knee pads), so at the price, these pants were good enough for my needs.

Very high waist and knee pads pockets are pretty high as well.

Not many non denim riding pants options on the market.

Great Pants for work and the heat
This pants allow me to go work and look good doing it. Even with all the protection the pants were not heavy and allowed me to wear them all day in comfort. I will definitely be buying a few more pairs.

For the price?
These are pretty much always $90, the "sale" price is a gimmick. Khakis are hard to find in riding pants, these are about it if your budget is in the $100 range. Do they allow you to wear riding pants to the office, yes, and i do. However, the fabric is rough and you will have to iron them before work. For the price, i would think they could use a wrinkle resistant fabric. Even if you hang them after drying, they still need ironing. Also, for some reason the fly is stitched shut about 1.5" from the bottom. This honestly makes no sense to me, and it makes it difficult to use the restroom without taking your pants down. The fly opening is about 4.5", whereas my Dockers are roughly 7'. I just cut the stitching keeping the fly closed, hopefully this doesn't cause some other kind of issue. I thought at first this was just an errant stitch from the netting that lines the upper part of the pants, but both pairs i bought have it. They are kevlar lined and have knee pads, so they should serve their purpose fine, they just have a few shortcomings.

Great pants for the price.
These pants look and feel great. And the lining gives me confidence that my legs might survive a slide.

What is the inseam?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2016
Are the sizes equal to normal pant size or slightly smaller or larger?
A shopper on Nov 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Similar fit to the Iron Workers jeans, with a lower waist and more form fitting than the Harley-Davidson relaxed fit jeans I often wear. My wife says that they appear to fit better than the Harley-Davidson jeans.
With a size 40, what is the inseam.?
