This product does what it says. I'm new to the community and it protects my boots and shoes. I don't expect this to last for years and years, but I guess that's why this is reasonably priced and you get two in a pack....you replace it. I gave my other one to my boyfriend and we're still on our first one.
It is pretty tough to get on depending on your clutch lever setup, but the harder it is to get on the more securely it will stay on there till its time to replace it. I don't have to worry about a big black mark on my shoes. I haven't ridden 100 miles so for a leisurely rider like me....worth it.

After reading reviews here, I picked up a pair anyway at my local cycle gear store and had low expectations.
Tough to get onto my ZX10, but once on it was snug and fit well. I put a zip tie to hold the zipper (thanks CR1200) and went for a short ride to test out. After less than 5 miles, the seam split apart.
I added a 2 more zip ties on both sides of the torn seem (see picture) to try to get a few weeks out of it. It looks ghetto, but held in place for a 90 mile ride yesterday.
The product is a good idea, too bad it's horribly crafted. Do NOT bother with this product, you will be disappointed. If you do try it, use multiple zip ties *before* your first ride.

Comments about RYDER CLIPS Shift Sock Two Pack:
Bought these a year ago and still using the first one I put on my 04'gixxer 1000, it is a tight fit to put on and zip up but it does work. A more durable material and stiching would be better but for [$] its an ok buy.

Comments about RYDER CLIPS Shift Sock Two Pack:
Great idea but this product does not make the idea work very long. It needs to be made out of some other material. I use a piece of clear hose from Ace hardware to put over the stock rubber. Works great and has lasted.
- Sizing:
- Feels true to size
Pros
- Attractive Design
- Put on Buell and XR1200
- Saved shoes going to work
Cons
- Fell off on way home
- Pad wearing thin on Buell
Best Uses
- Used tiewrap on the Buell
Comments about RYDER CLIPS Shift Sock Two Pack:
This is just what I needed for my rides to work. Put on on the XR1200 and one on the Buell. Rode the XR1200 to work twice, and if fell off somewhere on the way home (less than 2 miles). Used a tie wrap to secure it on the Buell, an it hasn't fallen off, but is wearing fast. The stitching on the pad is almost worn through, and the material is snagging (just like a wet suit would). This is a great idea, but deserves better materials.
If you buy one, tie wrap, safety wire, or glue it, or you will lose it.

Comments about RYDER CLIPS Shift Sock Two Pack:
This shift sock fell apart quickly on my Honda VFR and actually interfered with my shifting. However, it works marvelously on my husband's Ducati. The shifter style is very different on these bikes so that is probably the factor. 3 stars only because it is not universal.
