Comments about TUFF JUG Gasoline Ripper:
I was highly skeptical of these new CA mandated gas cans, but after purchaceing 2 I can honestly say I like them. Only problem is if you want to pour your unused gas into your truck when the weekend is over. Then you have to buy or borrow the old flex spout for the "utility non fuel" jugs.
Comments about TUFF JUG Gasoline Ripper:
I could not get this jug to work from the first time on my 400EX. When i stuck the fill spout down in the gas tank, fuel began spraying everywhere. Also the rubber gasket began to leak after the first or second use. I think I was using it as intended. To its benefit, it does take up less floor space than your average fuel can because of its narrow width. I have been using it by just pouring the gas through an Outerwears funnel. That is the only way i can make it work.
Pros
- Clean on right dia tank
Cons
- Wrong dia on tank sprays
Best Uses
- Great on KTM
Comments about TUFF JUG Gasoline Ripper:
I wrote a bad review on this because it did not work on my CRF450X see above. So I gave the gas jug to my friend with a 06 KTM and it works perfect. Not sure if its the dia size or the spash tube in my honda but it would build pressure and spray on my bike.
Comments about TUFF JUG Gasoline Ripper:
The spring loaded cap quality is worse than a chinese knock-off product. Only used the can a couple times a year and the frigging thing grenaded already on me. Come to find out the cap is almost the same cost of the complete cap & can combo. Junk!!!!! Back to using a regular cap for me!
Pros
- Handle
- Nozzle
Cons
- Cheap a- - container
Best Uses
- For big bikes only
Comments about TUFF JUG Gasoline Ripper:
This can would be nice if it was actually a "tuff" jug. The actual container is cheaper than any other fuel jug I have ever owned. The walls are to thin.
The nozzle is great and if you are smart enough to figure out how it works it won't spill a drop. It shuts off the flow when the tank is full by using the fuel in the bikes tank to block off the equalization tube inside the jug itself. If you remove it from your bike slowly you won't spill any fuel.
All in all a good idea but could use some improvement, especially for the price......
Service and delivery comments:
Service at the store was great!
Pros
- Nice spill proof nozzle
Cons
- The nozzle cracked
Best Uses
Comments about TUFF JUG Gasoline Ripper:
I actually rarely used this thing, but when I did I loved that gas didn't spew everywhere as you flipped the can over to put the nozzle into your tank. But after a year or so, it started leaking, and today there is a huge crack on the base of the nozzle to the point I can't use it anymore. Note, based on the picture above, this version of the nozzle looks different than the white one I have so it might last longer. However, I agree it looks to big to fit anything but the largest of tanks. I probably used this to fill up my lawn mower more than anything else, and I doubt this new nozzle would fit into it.
Pros
- Doesn't Leak
- Fast
- Great for bigger bikes
Cons
- Breather hose falls off
- Can't see gas level RED
- Nozzle too big
- To fit smaller bikes
Best Uses
- Filling bikes
- Transporting gas
Comments about TUFF JUG Gasoline Ripper:
Was excited to get this, and it's great for my bigger bikes, but the ripper nozzle doesn't fit in the filler neck of my wife's CRF230F, rendering it 50% useless.
Also, because it's solid red plastic, it's hard to gauge how full it is.
The breather pipe occasionally falls off inside the jug, and you can't get at it until the jug is empty.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery took 2 weeks from the same state :O
Pros
- Works Great
Cons
- none

Comments about TUFF JUG Gasoline Ripper:
The jug neck fits my Grizzly 700 fuel tank filler perfectly and fills the tank to the top and shuts off automatically with no spills when removed. I rate it a 10. Excellent quality. I own 3 jugs.
