With a Lifetime warranttee instead of 1 year, this battery is a great deal compared to a OEM and expensive Yuasa (my 2 yr old Yuasa suddenly died and wouldn't charge while the bike was parked 2 weeks). Found the differently-shaped cover made it hard to close the battery compartment lid on my Honda. The posts are slightly different, and the nuts behind the too-short screws fall out easily during installation, and if there are extra wires (i.e. battery tender, alarm, or heated vest) on the posts, forget it; I had to glue the nuts up in place w/silicon first and struggled to get the screws to hook up.

The battery died early, it showed signs of false capacity, it would charge fast but there was no capacity behind it and would start the bike once fast then get you stranded when you tried to restart the bike 10 minutes later. Poor quality but yes lifetime replacement is good but they only stock 2 batteries at a time in the store so the shelf is always empty. Consider the down time if you buy this battery for when it fails. All batteries eventually fail. Right now it will be 2.5 weeks before I get a replacement battery from CG.

Comments about MEGABOOST Batteries:
The first battery lasted about less than a year. Started without hassle. Went to Cycle Gear for a replacement with no questions since the battery died. Installed the battery but did not have enough juice to start my bike. Exchange for another one and the battery didn't have enough charge to start my R1. Hopefully after charging the battery, the battery will last.
Pros
- Lifetime warranty
- OEM Fit
Cons
- Awkward screws
- Short life span
Best Uses
Comments about MEGABOOST Batteries:
Bought a Megaboost as a replacement for a high rated brand that had lasted 4 years. The Megaboost wouldn't hold a charge after 3 months. The store swapped for another with no issue. But it's over an hour of work on my bike to swap it out. If the replacement dies within a few months also I'll swap it per the lifetime warranty but also buy another of the previous brand elsewhere and use the Megaboost for something else.
Pros
Cons
- 2 12 weeks replacement
- Battery lasted 8 months
Best Uses
- When you have many bikes

Pros
- Lifetime Warrenty
Cons
- Screws are too short

Comments about MEGABOOST Batteries:
The screws that come with this battery are too short. I had to use the old screws that were on my old battery. This is especially true if you have any accessory items (alarm..etc) that connect to the terminals on the battery. GET LONGER SCREWS!
Comments about MEGABOOST Batteries:
You just cannot beat the lifetime warranty on this product. [...].The cold cranking power on this battery is phenomenal as well. Also, the price is a steal compared to trying to buy a battery at my dealership. I'm so happy I turned to Cycle Gear for my battery replacement.
Pros
- Lifetime warranty
Cons
- Died after 2 years
Best Uses
- Street Bikes
Comments about MEGABOOST Batteries:
saves you money in the long run
Service and delivery comments:
Took my battery in and it was replaced no questions asked!
Comments about MEGABOOST Batteries:
I've only had this battery for about 5 days now but I charge my bluetooth for my helemt and htc hero phone on the bike (even while it's just sitting) and the battery holds a great charge. It's LIFETIME warranty. If it EVER goes dead, just take it back to cycle gear and get another for free! I may have payed about $30-$35 more than a regular battery but I'll never have to buy another one!
Pros
- price
- Warranty
Cons
- None yet
Best Uses
- Every bike you own
Comments about MEGABOOST Batteries:
I don't see how anyone can go wrong with this battery. It's cheaper than a Yuasa and has a LIFETIME warranty! I've been riding for many years and have never seen another battery company offer warranty like this. Cycle Gear has my battery business with Megaboost
Pros
- Keeps a charge
- Lifetime warranty
- Starts my bike

Comments about MEGABOOST Batteries:
Can't go wrong, cheaper than a yuasa and it has a lifetime warranty! Lifetime warranty on a freaking battery. This is a no brainer buy if you ask me
Comments about MEGABOOST Batteries:
Kawasaki recommends a 14 amp hour battery for this bike and that was what came in it. The Megaboost battery that my local Cyclegear sold me is a full 3 pounds lighter and is only a 12 amp hour. After just a few months, I'm already having starting issues, similar to the ones that my 4 year old battery was showing. Lifetime warranty or not, it's not worth it
