Comments about TOUR MASTER Venture Air Textile Motorcycle Pants:

1. Typical Tourmaster quality - good for the most part, some strings hanging here and there and some things that could be better sewn. As anyone knows who has stood for a military inspection knows a quick trip around the pants with a lighter and you can burn of all the hanging threads.

2. Just about all the leg Zippers get hung up if you rush and do not prep before you zip up - by Prep I mean, undo the liner zippers if you have them in, On each tab of velcro make sure that the first inner liner is not caught in the hooks or in the zipper. I have found that if you run your hand down each leg and clear the way, you can zip the legs rather quickly - the prep takes about 30 seconds each leg. And each day it gets easier.

3. Sizing - I have a 40 waist and 34 inseam - I had cycle gear ship both a 2Xl (stated at 38-40 inch waist) and a 3XL - 40 and more - I ended up with the 3XL as it seemed long enough (though about a 1/2 in short) and fit over my jeans and belt. If you buy these I suggest you do the same - order both (they only charged me for one at the store) and try them out.

4. Riding - So far I have ridden in temps in the high 70s to the low 40s with only the rain shield as a liner - in the cold temps I was very comfortable with the rain shield, in the warmer, without any of the 2 liners, I was fine as well. I took a 150 mile ride on Saturday with a high in the upper 60s and was just fine. One issue I had was the knee armor needed to be adjusted - did that and then noticed that the armor/pant legs and Twisted inward such that most of the knee armor was in contact with the tank. This was my fault because of how I Zipped the legs up I had pulled the legs around to get to the zippers... so make an effort to zip the leg zippers in the correct position before you start to fault the pants.

For overall warmth - I am sure I am going to hate these things when it goes over 90 degrees with southern fried humidity - most comments I saw indicated that you cook when stopped but are fine when running. Hell - what can you expect when the temp and humidity are 90/90? So I am okay with that and plan to just drink a lot of water..

Snap-In layers simplies keeping warm and/or dry in less than ideal conditions.
Great Value !
Verify the the fit of the waistband by trying them on and THEN sitting down in them. Also check the length while sitting ... Tall Sizes with extra lenght are available.

Comments about TOUR MASTER Venture Air Textile Motorcycle Pants:

Its nice to see a manufacturer who is in touch with the different body types we all have to offer. Not just the middle of the pack but also the short and stocky or tall and thin.
The adjustable knee armor is great and easy to position.
