Comments about ALPINESTARS Roam Waterproof Motorcycle Boots:

Had these a little over 4months now. So far I have no complaints about these boots in which I use when ever I'm riding (heat or cold) on the 02 ZX9R. They are stiff at first but once broken in (took me about a week & a half) all is good. Have no problems feeling the shifter. Traction on boot is pretty good once soles are scuffed up from walking in on pavement. Doesn't get to cold here in south side of TX but when it was in the low 40's, they kept my feet nice and toasty. In the hot weather, not that bad either. They don't breath well for hot temp use but that's expected of water proof boots so no real issues there. I don't care to ride in the rain (but have been caught in it from out of blue pop-ups) and my feet were completely dry. For boots, these are very comfortable for long period wearing at work (well for me anyways). Money well spent in my opinion.

Comments about ALPINESTARS Roam Waterproof Motorcycle Boots:

I use these dual sporting on my F650GS. They are waterproof and warm. They break in after wearing them a few times. Much warmer than my Thor MX boots. They fit nicely under jeans and I can get away with wearing them all day at work on casual fridays. Comfortable. Lots of support and the protection seems pretty good. Ankle seems pretty well protected and stiff. Good boots.

Comments about ALPINESTARS Roam Waterproof Motorcycle Boots:

Rode for an hour at 50-60mph @ 38 degrees and rain. Stayed warm and dry and the leather did not stiffen up in the cold. Toes got a Lil cool but my feet run hot so it felt good to me.
I ride a '05 ZX6R daily ( I have no otheR vehicle) and have 0 issues using these boots with the stock shift and brake Levers. I came from motocross boots so these are wayyy more flexible. It did take about 3-4 days to break them in. They're bulky compared to more race oriented street boots or sneakers but compared to the touring boots and MX boots, they're not a all
Only issue I have had was finding the right size. I wear a US 9 but had to buy a A* sized 8.
The veLcro makes it easy on and off and provides a comfy fit even for those of us with large calfs.
If I had the $$ I'd prob get the boots with gortex but these are pretty good for the $$$

Comments about ALPINESTARS Roam Waterproof Motorcycle Boots:

I purchased these boots at my local CG store. I should have paid attention to the word "touring" prior to bringing them home. But thanks to CG's policy I could try 'em out to see if they'd work for me or not. They where very, very comfortable. However when I got home I took a 14 mile ride wearing them on my zx6r Ninja. I found that the toe area was far too bulky and thick to be used on the shift lever. I couldn't feel the shifter at all and could not easily manipulate it. My local CG store happily replaced them with the Alpinestars smx-5 boots which I love and work wonderfully on a sport bike. The other boots are made for cruising / touring...if that is your thing, then these are your boots and I'd recommend them. Just not for super sport bikes.

        Great Boot!!

Comments about ALPINESTARS Roam Waterproof Motorcycle Boots:

I have used this boot for three years while riding in Singapore/Malaysia. Street and track. As it rains almost every day, I can attest that the boots are absolutely waterproof. And as the temperatures are between 78-90 every day, they still remain comfortable on all day rides. Would buy again.
